McCoist ponders Gers investment

Rangers boss Ally McCoist says he has not yet invested in his beloved club but confirmed he is considering buying a stake of the Ibrox outfit.

Reports at the weekend suggested the Ibrox boss owned a share of about about 4.5% after buying into Charles Green's consortium, who purchased the business and assets of Rangers when they were consigned to liquidation in the summer.

McCoist says the reports are premature but admits he is interested in becoming an investor.

"It's jumped the gun a little bit because, at this moment in time, there is nothing at all that's been finalised," he said.

"I'd be loathe to say any more until if and when it happens. It's something I would absolutely be considering."

Top of McCoist's priority list at the moment is ensuring he has as strong a squad as possible in place before a 12-month transfer embargo comes into effect on September 1.

The Light Blues boss has a number of trialists training at Murray Park and is determined to add quality signings to his pool before midnight on Friday.

"I've got a meeting again with Charles today," he added.

"The situation has been made very clear that we need bodies and we need to bring a bit of quality into the team and into the squad.

"That's where we are. In the next three days, we will have to do that.

"In the last week or 10 days, we have lost Alejandro Bedoya, it looks like Maurice Edu is away, Kirk Broadfoot is away, Dorin Goian is away.

"We need to get bodies in and plenty of them as soon as possible.

"We've had four or five trialists in. One or two have impressed, which is great, but we haven't made a final decision on any of them yet," McCoist said.

Broadfoot is the latest player to head for the Ibrox exit door after reaching agreement with the club to terminate his contract.

But McCoist is unaware of interest from Everton in Barrie McKay, after the youngster was linked with a move to Goodison.

"That's news to me. I haven't heard anything about that at all so I couldn't comment on that," McCoist admitted.

Fucking Davie Moyes is close to getting a header. Fucking arsehole.

What has Moyes done wrong apart from sign a couple of quality players from us ?. In the case of BMK why not focus on the reasons his contract has been allowed to reach this stage rather than on a manager doing his job.

I`ll tell you what Moyes has done wrong,he sees Whitey is desperate for cash and takes advantage by doing a deal for Jelavic at £5.5 mill.

As we knew that the guy was pure quality and has become one of the most potent strikers in the Premiership, and worth double the agreed fee.

Then he does a deal with the guy whose name begins with N,on the basis of a fat signing on fee provided that there was no transfer fee payable to the club that had given him a platform to showcase his talents as well as nursing him through two serious injuries.Do you think for a minute that THE press conference would have gone ahead if those two hadn`t already done their own deals.Integrity? Ask Southampton or Coventry!

Everton can get the fuck away from young McKay

Why does that arsehole Davie Moyes keep nicking (or trying to nick) our better players? He got Jelavic on the cheap, wee rat Naismith couldn't wait to sign for him and now he's after young McKay. He is an opportunistic sack of shit.

Get this lad signed up on a four year deal pronto Charles, he's going to be a star. :uk::uk::uk:

It's his job and we have done the same in the past, just times have changed.

So DM signed a player(NJ) for less than market value,is that not good buisness on his part?-lets hope we've got a decent sell on fee in place.

Regarding SN,he(DM) again takes advantage of the predicament we find ourselves in and uses it to Evertons advantage, what do you expect him to do?,His loyalty is to Everton FC and not us so why does anybody think any different.
