Cammy Bell

RANGERS are considering a late bid to land Kilmarnock keeper Cammy Bell in a £150,000 deal.

Ally McCoist wants to sign Killie No 1 Bell – who is currently injured – to challenge Neil Alexander.

The Light Blues made a £300,000 offer for Hearts winger David Templeton last night, and remain in discussion with Malmo striker Daniel Larsson.

McCoist wants to sign at least five players before the close of the transfer window tomorrow, including German midfielder Michael Fink, with a signing ban due to kick in until January 2014.

“We need to get players in of as high a quality as we possibly can afford,” said McCoist.

“Between now and Friday is critical for the club for the next two years.”

McCoist refused to comment on Templeton, who is also a target for Nottingham Forest and Bristol City, while striker

Larsson, rated at £200,000 by Malmo, is also attracting interest from Sampdoria and Real Valladolid.

Speaking about Templeton, McCoist said: “He is under contract with Hearts and he still has a year to go.”

But he confirmed that German midfielder Fink is likely to be handed a deal.

“He has trained and looked absolutely fine,” said McCoist. “We are going to sit down with his agent to have a wee chat.

again, i give creadence to this simply because:

1. burns has been right so far on all our targets

2. Burns seems to have great contacts and gers, and wrote uncle walt smiths book...if anyone in scottish media knows what we are doing in the transfer market, its scott burns

that said, do I think we will land them? on all 3 counts, i say no.

Would be an excellent signing for that - but will we sign him having just fractured his wrist?

Suppose he'd be handy down the line. incidently, I don't really worry too much about our keeper spot, my cock was far more out for Templeton or anyone providing half decent width

Always like Cammy bell he always reminded me a bit of Allan McGregor. I would say he's the best goal keeper in the SPL.

And he's a Rangers fan. (tu) I don't know if killie will fuck us about though and try and get more money?

But if there as skint as everyone thinks they will grab it and pay for his taxi to Ibrox.

Cammy Bell would be a good signing assuming he recovers well from his injury .Bell would be good competition for Alexander and being younger would replace him down the line.Would be very pleased if we could sign Templeton and Larsson but I will just have to wait and see what happens.

would be great if we could sign templeton, bell and larsson but its highly unlikely. Bell was as good as mcgregor last season and would be a steal if we could get him for the price being stated. As for templeton really good player in fact the youngster we already have mckay reminds me a lot of him.

Waste of time trying to sign templeton imo as mad vlad no doubt will value him at something rediculous like 3 million or some pish like that cammy bell however is a good shout and larson has serious pace which is needed up front imo, even with those targets we still neede more players in everyone can see that so heres hopin we get them

Boys contract is running out and with every passing day his value goes down. It will be around £300k just now and that is being generous.
