SwallowsHisOwnSpunk 7,983
Seriously how can anyone moan about our signings yesterday we signed two young creative players in the position we needed most and overall we have made some excellent signings especially for this level our current squad would probably finish 2nd in the SPL FFS so it should be more than enough to win the 3rd and 2nd Divisions plus some good cup runs. Sure it would have been nice to get another fullback in but it's not the end of the world as some spoilt brats on here are making out and if need be we could go for the young fullback Callum Paterson from Hearts in January as he is only 17 . The talk of 5 signings was ridiculous and just not needed neither was signing a bunch of lower league dross.GK - Neil Alexander, Scott Gallagher (Alan Smith + Blair Currie from the youths)FB - Anestis Argyriou, Lee Wallace (Perry, Faure, Cole, Hegarty, Murdoch & Little can play there if need be)CB - Emilson Cribari, Ross Perry, Sebastian Faure, Chris Hegarty, Darren Cole (Luca Gasparotto from the youths)CM - Ian Black, Kyle Hutton, Lewis MacLeod, Kamil Wiktorski, Andrew Mitchell (Andy Murdoch from the youths)AM - Dean Shiels, David Templeton, Barrie McKay, Fran Stella Robbie CrawfordST - Lee McCulloch, Andrew Little, Francesca Sandaza, Kevin Kyle, Kane HemmingsGK - We are fine in goalsFB - Argyriou & Wallace are excellent 1st choice fullbacks we are a little short in cover but we have plenty of players who have played there beforeCB - Cribari brings the experience and Perry and Faure have shown more than enough we don't need 4 experienced CB's for the 3rd Division as some are making out, plus the youngsters in Hegarty and Cole have shown up well when given the chance oh and Gasparotto is highly rated.CM - Ian Black, Kyle Hutton & Kamil Wiktorski are the defensive backbone, Mitchell is the energetic box to box CM and MacLeod is the passer we don't need anyone elseAM - We are very strong in attack nowST - Once again we are very strong here aswellWhy on earth are people so desperate to fill our squad with a bunch of journeymen are they to thick to realise this is the time to give our kids a game we don't need highly paid players sitting in the stand or indeed on the pitch holding our youth back. Next year Boca and Goian are returning so if any of our current CB's don't work out we have ready made replacements. Our current squad once we settle down and learn how to win away should win the league by over 35 points. If on Thursday someone had said we would sign Templeton they would have been shot down in flames no one expected a player of his quality to move here for relatively little money but now he has signed some people still feel the need to moan. So stop fucking moaning Ally & Charlie have done very well you should all still have your cocks in your hands from Templeton signing .
Rfc#1. 1,877
I think we've done well transfer wise this season tbh. I don't see any need to panic or moan about how many we signed on the last day of the transfer window.
Captain Hilts 12,819
i agree. despite all the traitors that left i think we have a pretty decent size of squad. i think Ally was just thinking of the next few years, as we won't be able to sign anyone

I've been saying this til i'm blue in the face.Anyone complaining that our squad doesn't have enough depth should take a look and see what other 3rd division teams player's part-time jobs are.Plumber?Painter/Decorator?Shelf-stacker? 4MenHadADream 122
The thing is that if we had only signed 1 or 2 before yesterday and then signed the rest of our signings on "Deadline Day" the people who are moaning now would have been delighted. It doesnt make a difference when we sign the players, the most important thing is that we have a team now which is more than capable of winning Div.3 and Div.2 as well as being more than competitive in the cups, that's something that we didn't have 2 months ago. ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
Ally McCoist has spent wisely. He's brought players over on trial and looked at them for a few weeks before making a decision. Also signed some of the players in the SPL last year. Sheils, Black, sandaza and tempelton and kyle was not bad for hearts before he got injured.
Getstiffed 8,863
Even in the SPL I'd be happy with that squad, given that downsizing was a necessary evil and not just inevitable. Some amount of money we'll have in the pot the next time we are able to register new players over 18. Looking good for a couple of years at least. Ricky_ 893
i'm pretty happy with the squad, we'll win division 3 at a canter, no doubt about that.i really want us to compete in the scottish cup & league cups though, and i can't help but feel we're pretty thin at the back. Another CB before our 18 month embargo really would have helped imo.
ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
Just think how much money we will have by the time we can sign players again though. And by the time that comes i think we will be back in the SPL as the SFA try and reconstruct the league. Nobody seems to be thinking about the bigger picture. What happened to everyone last night saying as long as we get tempelton i'll be happy with that.
Allanger 625
I doubt very much that the majority of our income over the next couple of years will be used solely for player purchase.I reckon we will be looking at various projects to increase our income streams and they are going to require start up costs. It's an exciting time at our club just now and I am looking forward to some interesting developments.Who knows though? It's all just guesswork atm
Shearer 124
We can still sign anyone under the age of 18 as well, so we can look to pick up young talented players and give them a chance. We have enough old heads in the team to keep them right and enough quality to let us give our young players a game.I would have liked more signings but we now need to focus on making our own stars for a year or two. Blue Knight 9
THE GLASS IS HALF-FULL (at least!!!)I hope this squad knit together spectacularly, learn and grow as one in the coming years and go on to be the greatest Rangers team ever!!! :21: :21: :21: :21: :21: :21: :21: :21: :21: :21: :21: :21: :21: :21: :21:

Oh and did I mention the Hearts fans would be fucking raging they think they are safe from our grasp now the transfer ban is in place just how good would it be to still be taking their better players away when they least expect it Craig Sibbald of Falkirk would also be a great signing he is only 17 aswell and a regular starter he also played allot last season at only 16 years old he would be a great investment in January for 100k odd. Falcoholic 1,348
When this squad have time to gel and develop, and become a good solid unit,(I hope)we should see some decent football and should be easily good enough to take on spl teams as and when required. He has brought some reasonable players from the spl and if they learn to play the ball on the ground on the exceptional Ibrox turf then we should find winning at home at lot easier, especially in front of the partisan crowds which grace the stands.I have no doubt there's gonna be some real slogs away from home over the winter months when the groundsmen scrape the snow off the pitch half hour before kick off, the heavy ground and the expected heavy tackles. But in the end it should toughen the team up and make them stronger and ready to compete in "SFL 2" next season. This season Charles Green has been handed an illustration of how Loyal and passionate the Rangers Supporters are about their Team. If enough money has been, and is being, generated to sustain the club in SFL 3 then why not the same in SFL 2 and tell the spl to poke spl1 or spl2 or whatever? We're happy to carry on doing the same in SFL 2.Thank Stella for rainy Saturday afternoons.
