4MenHadADream 122
I know its miles away yet, but just wondering. Do we think that by the time we are in Division 1 (for arguments sake assume reconstruction doesnt happen) that we will be in for a similar or better quality of player than we are just now. I can't make my mind up. On one hand it is still below top-flight football and I can't see Div 3 or 1 making much of a difference (particularly to foreign players). However, in the other hand by that point we will only be one promotion away from a top-flight return, and we could qualify for Europe at the end of that season would obviously be an extra attraction. Thoughts?
jdonald755 118
Still attracting the best players in the SPL in the 3rd div. Don't think being in the 2nd will make much difference. Though I don't think McGowan would have knocked us back if we were in the 1st div. Only a season out the SPL. I'm happy being in the SFL as I think most fans are. Hopefully the novelty doesn't wear off !
govanblue 16,847
When we get into Division 1, I have a funny feeling it will be the top flight.
BlueMe 25,327
what can the SPL offer that SFL can't?i really don't see the appeal of being in that corrupt league, fair enough there's europe, but what else?we should break away from the SPL and apply for our own european spot(DIV1)and let the SPL fuckin rot. ZeonBlue 378
for some if the money is right then they will come, also the chance of playing on the European stage will be a factor as will playing for Rangers, pick any one or all three
Ranger9 17
Id rather us be in the lower divisions. Look at the state of the SPL. The results and attendances today proved alot.

Thoughts?I really.believe that no matter what league we are in we will try sign high quality players! What Charles has shown with the signings this window is that we are a club that is definetly moving forward! We will not sign lower quality of players! We are rebuilding for the future!
