Hearts Transfer Ban - Days not Windows?

Could somebody explain to me why Hearts Transfer Ban is for 60 days whilst our transfer ban is for 2 transfer windows? Why the two different standards? Surely it should be consistent I.e we should be given a ban for 364 days or they should be given a ban for one window?

When our punishment was initially given out even at that time it was not 364 days, it was for two transfer windows regardless of what date it was.

I'm expecting many answers such as "we are hated", "corrupts organisation etc. but in all seriousness, can anybody give a rational explanation to this display of double standards?

Also don't understand why Hearts got such a small ban for not paying their employees month after month yet we were given a ban 6 times longer( 7 if you include when it was initially handed out pre-appeal) for not paying the government, but alas, that's a completley different injustice for another thread.

Apologies if this has been covered already, couldn't see anything on it.

Could someone expalin to me why the SPL can set another illegal punishment of transfer embargos.

Is this legal? Or is the law, or rules of the SPL, made up as they go along.

Of course, the reason for the punishment is to placate themselves when the shit finally hits the fan and the SPL is disbanded, broken up, deceased, and a truely dead parrot.

I wish someone would take the stupid pish league to court , they must be breaking employment laws stopping a business from hiring people

They are not stopping Hearts from hiring anyone - they are only stopping them from registering them with the SFA. They can hire whoever they want.

I think initially they did set our ban as 1 full year, and then realised that next year's window extends beyond 31st August so clarified to say it was 2 full windows! That said, it is an SFA ban rather than SPL two different bodies two different rules, so you could have one enforce a ban over a window and another over a period of days.

The ban handed down to us was proven to be illegal. The SPL ban on Hearts is legitimate as they took out new rules in the summer re financial fair play (covering payment to players and/or tax authorities) and registrations bans was disclosed as a legitimate punishment in these rules.

I have to dispute the OP when comparing our respective "crimes". Hearts have regularly failed to pay their players on time, but do eventually pay them. Craig Whyte simply refused to pay any money to HMRC over the course of 9 months or so. It is undeniably far worse...although Hearts have also had their issues with HMRC in the past, don't know why this was not "bringing the game in to disrepute"?

More so, we were more of a victim from Whyte's actions than anyone and I am still astounded that this is completely ignored in the media in their crusade to have us punished under the name "integrity"! It shows integrity to punish the victim of crimes, un-fucking-believable!

Transfer bans are not illegal by law

The mind truly boggles. It's an astonishing decision. My question is where are the media asking these questions? Because you can bet your life if this was us getting such a 'ban' (ie literally not a ban) then there would be a shitstorm of epic proportions.

I knew the SFA were badly run, badly organised. Just goes to show you how staggering a decision this is when it actually surprised me as to what new bizarre low on decision making this is from them.
