dazzapat 83
I keep hearing people say that we can't sign anyone until Jan'14 but I am not sure that is correctI understand that it is some way off, but am I correct in saying that we can register under 18's in the next 2 transfer windows but we have to wait until Jan'14 before we sign anyone else that may currently be with a club ?Does this mean that, if there are suitable free agents available out there (when the time comes) and we can talk them into not signing for anyone in next summers transfer window, we can register them as players without issue on the 01st of September? theiconicman 2,804
I believe we can still sign free agents as you can register them after the window closes.

bluenosebrad 452
As I understand it we can not sign any player over the age of 18 until after the ban has been lifted and that includes players that are available on free or have no club

We may sign free agents once the ban ends, even although the transfer window is closed. In the SFL we are also able to sign loan players outwith the transfer window. Big Al 55 8,904
We cant register over 18s until june 2014.The registration ban ends on the 1st September 2013. We can register players from the 1st September 2013 provided they are out of contract prior to the closure of the August 2013 transfer window. Getstiffed 8,863
So players who are out of contract in say, June, could just wait it out and join us in September?
Jamie0202 11,121
agree. I'm sure players can actually sign a contract with the club, it's just that we can't register them until September. This means that in January we can sign players on a precontract who will be able to play from September.
JM1872 3,589
The registration ban ends on the 1st September 2013, which is a Sunday... so the window may be open until the 2nd September next summer.Until the 1st September, we can sign anybody we want but we cannot register them to play, unless they are U17/18 because they do not require registering. On 1st September 2013 at 00:01 we can officially do whatever the fuck we want. Sign players on deadline day (if it is extended to Monday 2nd September), sign free agents and register them, sign players on loan deals (unless I'm mistaken loan deals can happen at any time in the SFL) and so on.The January 2014 date is false for all of the above. However, it is most unlikely that January 2014 will be the first time we actually will buy a player again. So, to conclude, after 1st September 2013 and 1 minute past midnight we can do as we please. loyalfollower 1,543
Infact lets say Regan quits or is voted off (highly unlikely) but could a new ceo rip up the ban, as any fair minded person would see it's really unfair
