tannerall 25,935
Now I am not being downbeat because it does look as if we may be turning the corner, but in any other season would 3 draws and 3 defeats by the first week in November be good. However i am still optimistic, actually mostly enjoying the roller coaster ride so far, and looking forward to our future success ,
better than all the rest 153
12 wins from 18 games, Ally must stay.
JM1872 3,589
Ally McCoist's biggest win as Rangers manager is 7-0 v Alloa Athletic at Ibrox. There's a stat for you Edit: for some reason thought this was Ally's record on the whole and not just this seasons . But aye, 7-0 is his biggest win.

HeHaw 513
Now I am not being downbeat because it does look as if we may be turning the corner, but in any other season would 3 draws and 3 defeats by the first week in November be good. However i am still optimistic, actually mostly enjoying the roller coaster ride so far, and looking forward to our future success , 12 wins,3 draws and 3 defeats when we have a completely new squad, had no pre-season and roughly 1 and a half days to prepare for the footballing season is amazing. Back in August/September I honestly thought we would have lost/drawn a lot more due to our circumstances but instead we have did pretty good . Jimfanciesthedude 24,058
pointless stats tbh when we are in a league where we are outspending our competition by 1000-1, maybe even moreally will be judged against teams closer to our skill level, hence why terrible results against part timers are taken so badly

Dutchy 1,200
It's probably 3 defeats too many for our team, especially when you look at the level of oppostion.Having said that, we have had a few more trials to endure this year than any other club in the country.Obviously our start was hindered by no pre-season games and every club in the division have been busting a gut to have their day in the sun against us.I think we're settling down and I'll be more interested to see the next round of results as we've now to play the teams we've beaten at home, away.I think it's all very interesting and we're a revealation to all these smaller clubs, we're probably doing more to help their survival than the authourities are.Things are getting better, for everyone down our neck of the woods. The Godfather 67,828
It's not the results that concern me on the whole, it's performances an progress in that department I'm worried about so far.The team played very well today and hopefully we can kick on, we should be able to beat every team in Div 3 based soely on we are a team full of SPL and international players. Mols94 3,648
thats a 66% win percentage so far this season. If wikipedia is up to date (which I doubt it is) hes won 61% of the matches hes managed since hes took charge.Walter Smith had a win percentage of 62.86% during his second spell, only a slight difference. It's ultimately immaterial.personally, given the amount of money the fans are putting into the club, I'd expect a large amount to be spent on wages etc. It's no relevance to us that other clubs in the division we find ourselves are not at our level financially.any club, regardless of the division they are in will lose and draws games. I'm sure (without checking stats) that even Juventus found themselves losing a drawing games, and they retained world class players.

Mols94 3,648
Are we really comparing Seria B to Div 3 part time teams?you have to put it into perspective, juventus had players like Nedved, Del Piero, Buffon etc who were far too good for Serie B.we have players like Templeton, Shiels, McCulloch etc who are far to good for the scottish third divison.the point is it wasnt a stroll for juventus even though it should have been and it wont be a stroll for us. ManchestGer 336
You can only beat whats put in front of you, yeah we've had a few bad results/performances and struggled away from home but we'll get better and grow as a team as time goes on, today would have given our players a hell of a lot of confidence. Igglepiggle 3
It's not the results that concern me on the whole, it's performances an progress in that department I'm worried about so far.The team played very well today and hopefully we can kick on, we should be able to beat every team in Div 3 based soely on we are a team full of SPL and international players. This is the thing for me. Our fans keep on saying we should be doing better as we have international and spl players. During week against caley we had 5 players on the park with any real spl experience. they were alexander wallace mcculloch sheils and black. black and sheils would never really expected to win cups with there previous clubs so they are never gona walk over spl teams. The rest a team is made a youngsters who are always gona blow hot and cold. Ma point is that folk are expecting us to beat spl teams easy but the fact is we dont have enough players.who know what it takes at that level. The young ones will be ready in few years but at min will have ups and downs. saying thag we should be beating sfl3 teams. But the record aint that bad when u take that 2 losses have been in cups. gogzy 31,195
One of those defeats was to a good SPL side, one was to another full time side in QOTS.I forget the other defeat, but IMO our results are nowhere near as bad as some would like to make out.If we can kick on for here and keep performance levels high, then i see no reason why we can't hurt a good amount of teams for the rest of the season. This road will have some bumps in it, it's how we take those bumps that really matter. And today goes a ways to showing that Ally does know what he is talking about, and can set up a good team that plays good football.
loyalfollower 1,543
Div 3 is a thousand times weaker than series b, having said that, coisty win percentage is not bad at all albeit over 18 months, Walters was over 4 1/2 year so that comparison doesnt even make sense.Like it or not we have had a few embarrasing performances against bricklayers, and posties etc. That is everyone's problem not the win percentages
