I think there is a problem with this now, I have signed up 5 friends all with different emails and I confirmed them all, but still sitting at 38,128 ....

Edit: Sorry meant to say it was 38,128 when I started

I thought I was having this same problem a few weeks ago but didn't think much of it......Maybe this is more widespread than we think?

There has been a few of these petitions flying around but this is the official one submitted to HM Government & endorsed by Chris Graham on Twitter.

This petition must reach 100,000 signatures before the end date to be debated in parliment.

Can we have this pinned in the Bears Den - be sure to share on Facebook, Twittter, you know the score.

EDIT:

http://mailinator.com/ provides an instant, disposable email. When filling you the petition if you register the email as something like "mothersname@mailinator.com" - then visit http://mothersname.mailinator.com it will take you to that disposable inbox where you can access the confirmation email.

Therefore anyone who many not have an email account, or put off by having to confirm the emails - this offers a quick and handy solution. I'm also unsure if the T&C's of the e-petition allows you 'sign' on behalf of someone else, such as a friend or family member, but if it does... Provided you know their address & postcode this would allow you to easily sign on behalf of someone else without needing access to their email inbox.

please sign (tu)

Next time we have a card display, could we maybe have some information on the back of every card about this. I mean if we get 49,000 at Ibrox that day, that's still more than what have already signed. And many people have signed multiple times.

I don't know what the costs involved would be like, but it's just an idea.

A wee word folks. Please refrain from asking for people to create fake accounts to sign this more than once. Such an action only seeks to under mine this petition's credibility. Please pass this on to everyone in your email contacts lists who is either a bear or someone who would sympathise with this.

I was meaning i don't think it should be pinned i maybe should've worded it better

Oh sorry, i should of read your post more carefully. I think it should be pinned otherwise it will just drop down the pages, this way we all see it and as its next to new members thread hopefully once they've introduced themselves they will jump in here and sign the petition.
