Muirheadbear 1,483
Now that all the torment and anxiety has subsided since the early part of this year maybe it's time to reflect on the 'issue' of our history. Our enemies claim we have lost it and /or its broken. Think about it though, what does that actually mean?Supporting, and more importantly sticking to a football team comes from within - regardless of the team you devote yourself to. I am a degree educated fellow who has owned a season ticket for 31 consecutive seasons (that's pre Souness and widespread season ticket days you know) and for the life of me I cannot understand what this concept of 'broken history' means? Does it mean it didn't happen? Does it mean it was carried out by a different team? Does it mean we cannot lay claim to anything that happened between 1872 and the summervf this year? Of course not its all nonsense. My fellow bears though, please let me offer you all a plea. We are going to get slagged, mocked, ridiculed and taunted that its lost. However that's the point, it could only happen to us. WE are the ones with the history and heritage in this country. The rhats can only cling onto 1967. We onthe other hand have this impressive list ( and please add to it if I've missed anything out) 1. 54 league titles - unsurpassed by any other team on this planet2. 115 major trophies - as above3. Only team in the UK at let to win ALL league fixtures in one season 1898/994. 118,567 the largest league attendance in the UK by a country mile.5. First British side to reach a European final - 19606. Largest travelling support to leave one country to another - est 200,000 in Manchester 2008and probably so much more.......No wonder they all claim we've lost it, it cannot be argued it is the greatest case of football history on ths planet. This concept of lost history could only be lumped onto us BECAUSE WE HAVE IT! We wouldn't bother laying hat on the rhats or anyone else because either way it wouldn't matter. In a year were 'liquidated' Leeds Utd erected a statue to Don Revie nobody down south wrote to trading standards. Take all the anger, jealousy and hatred and let it wash over you Bear and Bearettes because we have it.And finally, on the 2nd January 2021 I'm in no doubt our club will mark the 50th anniversary of the Ibrox disaster. Are we not allowed to honour our fellow bears? Did they actually support another club? Or have we lost them? Or did it not really happen? I need not help you answer any of the above. Ignore the taunts bears and cherish and honour our great history! WATP

Bluepeter9 5,167
it's so much simpler than reeling of list of trophies our history exists because we exist. lets stop worrying about what others think - we know !

sergio 1,199
History if recorded, can never be lost or broken. Greece was captured by various warlords, destroyed a few times, but it is still Greece,
Thermopylae 15,288
I feel that if there was a defining period in our history it was the 16 months between our darkest hour and our greatest ever triumph. Being able to stoically carry on after the disaster and so quickly build something good and lasting was quintessentially Scots Presbyterian.I thought the video from Saturday summed it up very well ...http://www.dailymoti...om/video/xvpm2a

JimmyCR1 1,566
Ask uefa, check their website, I'm sure they state that rangers play in the third division and have won no less than 54 league titles, correct me if I'm wrong

IanFerguson2012 123
I gave up being bothered about what the others think a long time ago. It's Rangers, the same Rangers and nothing but the Rangers. When I walk in to Ibrox I know I'm going to see Rangers not some other team. I'm not thinking anything else and the lies & half baked junk that gets served up in an attempt to annoy us does the opposite.Remember a few months ago they were saying that once the novelty wore off the crowds would dwindle. Well that didn't happen did it? What's happened instead is that the support has been galvanised and we know that we are Rangers just as much as the team is, just as much as the noble Red Brick frontage is and we won't walk away. Instead we will see our team back on top, we just don't know what we will be back on top of cause the fools that forced us into the 3rd Division have wrecked the spl. When we look back on this period it won't necessarily be with fondness but we won't be blanking it out of our memories as it's part of the Rangers history as well.
