bluechip 359
I wrote an email to my local MP Iain McKenzie after I learned he had signed an ammendment by a DUP MP to congratulate Celtic on 125 years history. I asked him would there be a simiar amendment raised on The Rangers FC's 140 year UNBROKEN history. I also asked him would there be an investigation into the concerted effort by the many to bring down the great Scottish institution that is The Rangers Football Club. Here is his reply.I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I of course am still waiting on a reply from my MSP.Dear Mr ***** Thank you for your Email I would expect an EDM to be circulated also congratulating Rangers on 140 years in Scottish football and I will happily sign this EDM also. There is a petition on the Parliament website for a backbench business debate on the actions taken by HMRC in relation to Glasgow Rangers, I along with my colleagues have been urging supporters and public to sign this petition, the petition requires 100,000 signatures to trigger a debate in parliament. In tandem my colleague Ian Davidson who represents the Govan area of Glasgow with my support has written to the chancellor raising the Rangers situation with HMRC, I attach a copy of his letter. Here is the link: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/42143 Regards Iain McKenzie MPInverclyde

I check the petition every day & it's been really miserable the past week - I thought perhaps there would be a big jump after last weeks Ibrox festival - but fuck all. Come on Bears - we hit the 30,000 target in a two weeks, now we canny do 5,000 in two weeks.WATP.

That would suggest that's roughly how many Bears are aware of this e-petition - almost everyone who is aware of it and cares enough has signed. There are probably hundreds of thousands out there who are oblivious to the whole thing.I think sometimes we over-estimate the numbers who use and are influenced by internet forums as a proportion of the overall support.
