Carsons Dog 9,878
Montrose FC v Rangers FC14 December 2012A capacity crowd is expected for the Division Three fixture between Montrose FC and Rangers FC on Saturday, December 15, kick-off 12.30pm.Entry to the ground is by ticket only and there will be no ticket sales at the ground.Around 3000 Rangers fans are expected to travel to Links Park from Glasgow and changes have been made to traditional home and away sections of the ground given the large travelling support.Montrose supporters have been allocated the East Terrace, access via turnstiles at Union Row, and the right side of the Main Stand.Rangers fans will occupy the Covered Terrace, the South West area, the North Terrace - with access to the ground is via turnstiles at Wellington Street- and the left side of the Main Stand.Match Commander Superintendent Kevin Lynch said:‘‘We welcome Rangers to Angus for what we hope will be an excellent fixture. We hope that both sets of supporters enjoy the occasion in the correct manner and enjoy the day.‘‘Given that we expect a near-5000 capacity crowd at the game, there will be a significant increase in traffic in Montrose during Saturday. We would appeal to those attending the game to recognise that the stadium sits within a residential area and to be considerate of residents.‘‘Furthermore, those attending should be aware that there will be no on street parking at or near to Links Park on Saturday. Residents have been advised accordingly by club officials.’’
