ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
THE ONLY part of the history of Rangers that has died for Jim Currie is his hair.In fairness, make that ‘dyed’.Jim, from Armadale, caused such a stir at Ibrox last week before the game against Stirling Albion it’s a miracle kick-off wasn’t delayed. Jim, 55, went to extraordinary lengths to celebrate the club’s 140th anniversary as he got himself kitted out in 1870s regalia. He raided websites, shops and even girlfriend Catherine’s make-up bag to mirror his image on that of the Light Blues’ first great skipper, Tom Vallance.Jim was mobbed as he walked to the ground and he was even invited to pose for pics at the marble staircase with Walter Smith and Ally McCoist.Jim said: “I almost didn’t make kick-off as so many bears wanted pictures.“There was only one problem. I could only get the sideburns and moustache in red. Catherine suggested a wash in and out dye for my hair but I’m still waiting for it to wash out.”And don’t dare say Rangers’ history is nearer 140 days than 140 years.Jim added: “Absolute nonsense, it’s 140 years. The outfit is tucked away for our 150th anniversary, although I might wear it the next time we play Celtic.”Others haven’t looked half as good in a Rangers kit as the big man and yet been paid thousands in the process. pcbear 10,932
Good on ya Jim, the photo with Wattie and McCoist would never have happened but for your originality.Walter wont get far with these shovelhands round his shoulders.
