rosco senior 17
Any reason why club can't show game on the screens at Ibrox?Admission could be free but with a £5.00 rising stars draw.Sure we could get the biggest cup attendance of the week-end. govanblue 16,847
Any reason why you can't read any of the other Tannadice threads first? Edit: Ok, I see you don't post a lot - I'll let you off this time
JM1872 3,821
There are many reasons why it can't be done. The cost of opening and operating Ibrox. The problem with TV rights. I believe Sky have bought the game. The game is on TV anyway. It isnae gawny happenAnd 5. A free pair of binoculars would need to be issued to everybody who passed through the gates to see what was happening .

BF2 winston 123
Same answer as the other 47 or so times this question has been asked recently. screens are crap the cost of opening Ibrox IE extra policing security. Sky are showing the game so we dont have the rights to it. the idea of a reserve game at Ibrox that weekend is the best ive heard would be good to get Ibrox packed for a reserve game. Maverick_Golfer 11
I know we are boycotting it, but personally I would love to be there supporting the team in a tie which I feel is very winnable. The best way to answer Dundee United back is by knocking them out the cup and I feel we have a greater chance with 4 -5k bears there. sprotson11 147
Apart from the logistical aspects, eg the cost of opening Ibrox, poor screens, game already on TV etc, we would also need to pay the SFA/Dundee United for the privilege of showing the game.I know the main reason for the boycott is not financial, but fand at Ibrox will only lime their pockets and will not mean any support for the team that they can see. Maverick_Golfer 11
Excuse me, Rangers Legends such as Richard Gough have came out and said the boycott is a bad idea.Just because I am not a sheep and form my own opinion. I am all for the boycott if thats what the fans wish, but I believe we should have THAT decision to make and it shouldnt be taken away from us. I know the majority of bears deep down will agree with me.I would feel that we let the team down watching it on Sky Sports if we lose and there are no support there. Remember Sky Sports is broadcast all around the world. I ould just rather be there singing my heart out for the teamOnly my opinion..
