CHARLES GREEN has today issued the following statement regarding an article in the matchday programme at Saturday's away game with Montrose.

He said: “I and all our supporters were dismayed by some of the content of the matchday programme at Montrose on Saturday which was clearly intended to ridicule our Club.

"I have spoken personally to the Chairman of Montrose today and he and his fellow directors have offered Rangers an unreserved apology which I am happy to accept.

“We were made extremely welcome at Montrose on Saturday and the club’s hospitality was fantastic, as has been our experience throughout the SFL this season.”

Straight to the point and job done. Green sorts it out quickly.

Lovely to see such quick action from both us and Montrose on a rather immature and pointless action by whoever wrote that. If this were Murray he would say nothing and if it were Whyte he would pretend to take legal action, then forget about it. Changed days under Mr Green :uk:

CG has done the right thing, even if it was a minor transgression, at least he's leeting other clubs know that he's on top of the situation and he'll not stand fro these inaccuracies.

I hope the other clubs take note, but then again, maybe they enjoy the 'extra' publicity as playing against Rangers may not be enough for them on it's own.

PRESS RELEASE

Following our match against Rangers last saturday it was brought to our attention 2 pages within the programme referred to several Rangers players transferred from "oldco" to "newco" and indeed ignored the history of Rangers Football Club over 140 years.

Due to time restraints in producing the programmes our Programme Editor had accepted the pages submitted by our correspondent however Montrose Football Club readily accept any content printed within the programme must be our responsibility. At no time was the information on players or the club printed to create a slight to anyone connected with Rangers Football Club or indeed ignore a proud and successful history therefore, Montrose Football Club very much regrets the pages included may have caused offence and we unreservedly apologise to Rangers Football Club, the management, players and supporters if they felt this was the case.

That kind of guff is clearly written and preached by ignorant people who still believe that the world is flat!

Unfortunately due to the brainwashed inferior education system they encountered in their younger days, they have been programmed to avoid the truth at all costs - especially where Rangers are concerned.

There is no hope for such individuals and I suspect we will hear and read more of their bilge as we continue along the road to the top.
