simplythebest 11,453
Loved listening to the man again. Never picked up on this at the time from the opposite end but hearing the BF1 were doing some protest about the Ibrox naming rights during Green's talk. Very poor show and disrespectful if true, whatever opinion you have on the topic it was not the time when he was announcing a successful share issue. jamess 3,544
Yes, that protest was poorly timed and went on too long.
bluebellsareblue82 15
was it planned for when he was talking ? If it was agreed to do it before kick of its not east to stop. airdriebluenose 351
Pure ignorance. Everyone has their opinions and have their right to voice their opinions, but not when the man who saved our club was trying to speak. Was absolutely raging and a bit embarassed, pure ignorance! Why spoil that over something that at this point is at most a maybe?
bombaybadboy08 15,660
Just read this on FF.Out of order, they could have timed it for a certain point during the match or whatever.Rude.

falwheel 222
The UB do not represent my views, however, like most others I respect thier opinions. I did not think the protest to be either disrepectful or ignorant. Well thought out and timed perfectly for maximum exposure. I am sure that CG would have been pre warned that ub planned to potest. this is an emotive subject especiall after everything that our club has endured the past 10 months and is a bit pathetic for fellow supporters to moan about protesting against changing name of Ibrox. not sure why text underlined.no surrender charlie green
d_mcewan 3
Was in bf1 tonight and I was pissed of with those around me during greens speech. Let the man talk he hasnt done anything wrong yet.
elephants stoned 2,994
I agree with UB on the issue but the timing was awful and showed disrespect to a man who we have all come to love and respect.
MisterC 12,765
Wasnt there in time to see this but doesnt sound so good and while they have to make their point, theres better ways of going about it than this. Seems a bit of an own goal to be honest.
Captain Hilts 12,819
i respect their opinions but to chant when Charles was talking was just plain ignorant. the UB's have never done anything to annoy me in the past but i was very disappointed with them tonight

bluenosebrad 452
Yip i said the same thing tonight I dont disagree with what they are protesting about everyone around me was was pretty feck off at the timing it was shite and made u guys protest abit weak. I think u guys are bril but personally I think it u got it wrong on the timing. CG thanking fans for buying shares and updating 0n expectations, a real good feel factor and u guys decide that is the moment to protest. ianb1547 3,776
i have admired how BF1 have created and maintained a fantastic atmosphere at games...but tonight they lost some of my respect. To carry out the protest while CG was speaking was totally wrong - whatever point was being made. To compound my disappointment with them they carried on for some time....including during the minutes applause for Sandy Jardine in the 2nd minute.I think if TBO/UB reflect on how they came across they will be disappointed in themselves...i know i was. Don81 2,875
Disgusting behaviour , especially not putting the banners down and joining in the applause for Sandy. I moved to bf2 so I was near them this year but that was just embarrassing.
PRW. 5,631
Got it wrong, totally wrong.Half of them are only 'AMF' because it's 'Ultra Culture'.A shame they couldn't give the man who saved our club a little respect...I hate narrow minded views like this who most likely know absolutely nobody connected with the group. PRW. 5,631
Cool, well care to attempt justifying why there were chants through Charles Green's speech? Some people chanted through a mans speech, the man who wants to change the stadium name, against the renaming of Ibrox.Their own personal decision.
ianb1547 3,776
was it also their own personal decision not to join everyone else in showing support to Sandy Jardine?
