Union Bears statement

Last night, at our home stadium of Ibrox, we as a group, and fellow supporters including women and children, were subject to savage, unjust brutality at the hands of Strathclyde Police.

Currently, we are gathering as much pictures and videos of last night and will be meeting as a group in the next few days to discuss where we go from here. If anyone has any pictures of the police brutality from last night we would be grateful if you could contact the group.

We would like to thank the fans who stood with us last night and reiterate the fact that we will continue in our passionate support of Our Club, regardless of intimidation or acts of violence against our members.

We will also be releasing a full statement in the coming days regarding last nights events.

No Surrender.

As I've said before, in this day and age you should no longer be standing in a football stadium shouting "fenian bastards" expecting not to be arrested.

However, in this day and age you should no longer be standing in a football stadium expecting to be hit around the head with a police baton.

If the police were alleging that's the reason they started arresting people, it's NO excuse for what's been alleged here.

I think this is the right way to go - wait a few days gather all their evidence and then release a proper statement with any proof they have of what happened.

I was there last night but I was too far away to see exactly what happened but the amount of police that piled into bf1 looked heavy handed. I'm sure there must be fans either in bf2 or br1/2 that captured something that might help.

I personally have no problems with the police as members of my family have been in the police but i'm willing to back our fans until I see proof otherwise.

If there was genuine OTT violence used then complain.

However I am disappointed that there is NO condemnation of the sectarian chants that could harm our club.

UB will get a LOT of respect and credibility if they were to do this.

Fucking behave yourself.

Posts are embarrassing.

I'd strap a helmet on if I were you.

I am stating a POINT

We all have to Obey the law and right now that means sectarian stuff is ILLEGAL

Or do you want to see the club that we all love fined etc?

If you do then YOU ARE NOT A FAN BUT SOMEONE MASQUERADING AS ONE!

The same goes to anyone else who hides behind Rangers and spouts sectarianism and bigotry in ibrox.

I don't care what folks do outside Ibrox but everyone needs to keep that shit away from Ibrox on matchdays!

You don't know that sectarian singing was the catalyst though.
