Summer signings - who would you keep?

That's the question I have for you, all very opinionated and everyone will think differently, but from our signings who would you keep and who would you let go if we were able to bring in replacements? Who are you not sure of either way?

EDIT: if we were passed the transfer embargo stage, I'm definitely not saying we should let anyone go before then!

Here's mine

Keep

Templeton- I'm sure I don't need to explain why, but without doubt our best summer signing for me,not played too much due to injury, but the boy has class and looks dangerous every game he plays.

Shiels- Can see he's too good for this level, has been heavily marked but for me he is one that can really spot a pass or just create that bit of space

Black- Had his critics and i don't think he's been at his best, but I've seen him a few times against us and he was head and shoulders above everyone of our centre mids, really dictating play. Spreading passes all over the place and really putting in strong challenges. He needs time and space to play his game, he's not getting that at this level of hammer throwers, but I'm still confident he will come onto a game. The treatment he gets also takes the pressure of Lewis Macleod as its all focused on black.

Kyle- I'm not saying he should start every week, but i like the big man, he gives us an option, its not pretty football but it can be effective, I've always thought that about him even for Kilmarnock, far from the most technically gifted footballer ever and when we get back into a European competition he should be no where near our club, but sfl1 and 2? we may need his presence.

Unsure

Cribari - Think you can see that there was once a really decent cb there, but I'm not sure he still has it, his experience maybe needed though and i did think he was coming onto a game before he got injured. I love the fact that he signed on here to play at this level.

Faure- Not been impressed so far, but only 21, ex Lyon kid, ex France under 20, maybe a run of games in his actual position might be worth a try... but at the same time I'm not convinced

Stella- Never seen him

Let Go

The Greek- Just don't rate him, had a number of games, doesn't look convincing in anything he does to me and I would rather we signed a better right back as soon as we can

Sandaza - Id sooner start Mcculloch, Little, Shiels (second striker), Kyle, Naismith & Crawford over him, I think there is a player there, I just don't think he has the fight or determination for this level and he'd be better off elsewhere.

Sorry I should add i too would keep all players til the end of the embargo, maybe up until jan 2014, so really this is not something that will happen, just wondering what you all think of our new signings really now that most have had a chance to make an impression

I cant really say right now obviously we want to keep Temps for as long as possible but the lads from overseas its hard to tell as they have only been here 5mins really, remember how underrated Traitor Naismith was in his first 18months at Rangers, ask me in August and i'll give a better awnser

I agree with most of your assessments but 1 major disagreement would be sheils, I just don't think he's shown up very well in a rangers jersey.

There's plenty of time for him to prove me wrong but for now he's not getting pass marks from me.

9 goals in 19 games isn't a bad return for an attacking midfielder? At times i think he does drift out of games, but I think he has shown he has the quality that really is unheard of in this league without dominating games, like black I also think he gets targeted a lot and I think that the attention they get is allowing some of our younger players like Macleod, Mckay & Aird to just do their stuff.

very fair point mate!

For all these boys haven't done it so far its not to say they never will. I'm just not sure of the greek boys quality at all and i don't think fran has the fight for this. I hope they prove me wrong!

Sadly you might be right about Sandaza, hes not impressed at all yet, i hope he gets some form soon im wanting him to do well and he is just back from a while out so hopefuly theres more to come from him. As for Argyriou, hes blown hot and cold for me, looked quite good at times going forward but nervy in defence, hoping he will also find consistancy.

I think Sandaza needs a run of games, which I just don't think he'll get here unless he starts scoring fast, the injury really hasn't helped, but Sandaza's game is all about putting the ball in the back of the net and if he's not doing it soon at this level, someone else will and he'll be out the door! A bit harsh but its the way it goes! We all know from last year he is a decent finisher!

Yeah Argyriou defensively for me just looks like he doesn't have it, probably our best right back just now though (although maybe that could be Darren Cole if given the chance?) but i just think there are certain things in football that cant be taught, like there's no teaching kirk broadfoot how to have the positional sense and reading of the game that davie weir had? Now obviously that's centre back i'm talking about, but I do think there are right backs who read the game much better than the Greek and offer just as much, if not more going forward

Its amazing what confidence does for striker, look at Kyle hes got a couple of goals and though he will never be in danger of breaking Allys scoring record, he looks a different player from the summer. Hope that Fran can do the same and believe in himself more. Argy is worth having as o think he could be a good RB and its good for squad competition to have him and Darren Cole (sponsored by Rangers Media :D ) fighting for first team places, he can come good if he really puts his mind to it.

Couple of weeks ago I bet you woulda let Kevin Kyle go, Sandaza has been poor(as was Kyle) but he needs a run of game(just like Kyle) and a goal or 2 to get his confidence going.

A guy that can score as many goals as he did in the spl for st.johnstone should be able to rattle them in at this level but give him a proper chance.....he hasn't had that yet!!

If we can replace them with better then Faure and Cabriani can go.

I'd keep the Greek lad as he's done ok.

Sheils,Temps and Black are our best imports IMO

Kyle will do a shift in Div 2

Jury's oot on Sandaza

I'd like a new keeper and a proven lower leagues poacher

Argyrio seems to get a hard time on here, he's been played all over the place for us and always put in a decent shift. Let him get a good run of Ged at right back under his belt with the same back 4 and he could be a decent player for us.

There are aspects to his game that I'm not a fan of but he is good enough to play at a higher level than this.

Sandaza I don't agree with,decent player.

Sandaza hasnt had a fair crack of the whip this season, let him have more game time first. Also not convinced about your verdict on Black? fairenough he has been a target for the bootmen but he's showing the level of performances he was with Hearts last season. Kyle Hutton has been a stand out for me this season. He'd be in my team before Black anyday.

He hasn't had a good crack at it yet, but I still think Sandaza is too much of a confidence player to make it at Rangers. I've said that since day one.

He can be fantastic when his tail is up and he is getting his own way, but he sulks and the goals dry up when things don't go his own way and you can't get away with that at a club like ours, especially when we need everybody fighting for the cause more than ever.

I think he will continue to flatter to deceive and then leave in the Summer.
