But like everything in the often bipolar world of the Old Firm, not everything is as it seems.

Rangers top division three, excommunicated from the Scottish Premier League because of insolvency and forced to abandon 140 years of history in order to re-form as a new company (Newco).

Its on NewsNow Rangers Website. I think it from Australia news website. The Age is part of.Fairfax Digital is Australia's premier network of online news, information and classified websites. The sooner Jim Traynor takes up the reigns and puts an end to this propaganda the better.

Haven't heard a peep from Traynor since he got his job, can't still be going through his induction and learning health and safety can he?

What a load of utter pish that is.

That's 2 minutes of my life I'll never get back after reading that load of tosh. Ozzy journos are nearly as bad as Scottish ones.

That piece of Castlemaine XXXX was written by Graham Hunter. I'm pretty sure he's Scottish but lives in Spain and writes mainly about Spanish football.

REF:Old Firm on different paths Article 22 Dec 2012

Dear Sirs,

Your on-line article erroneously states that Rangers Football Club lost its 140 year history. This is utter nonsense. The corporate side of the oldco is soon to be no more but the assets were sold to a new corporate owner. The football club has continued complete with history and tradition. This fact has been recognised by the Scottish Football Association, The Scottish Football League, The Scottish Premier League, UEFA, the European Football Club Association (ECA) and Lord Nimmo Smith (a senior Scottish High Court judge).

Your article also says that a "few hundred" Rangers fans will be at Elgin when in actual fact our fans will number at least 80% of the 4500 odd who will be at the game. There is so much demand that the game is to be broadcast live on RangersTV. I for one, couldn't get any tickets.

You would need to be a real football fan to understand what Rangers Football Club means to its supporters. Having read the Graham Hunter article, he clearly has no idea.

Our current attitude to our old rivals is more one of apathy rather than antipathy. This is due to our current position three divisions apart. All the Rangers fans of my acquaintance are not missing our games against "the other lot". As with any intense rivalry, we still hope they lose but our interest in their results is no longer of the same importance as before. That will only return once we are back in the same division. Our recent predicament has only increased our resolve to regain our rightful position at the top of Scottish football. That day is not as far away as many people think.

Yours sincerely,

Brilliant email. Let us know if they have the balls to reply. Mis information must be because they are upside down all the time and this walloper got all the facts wrong. Failing that maybe the guy is a Shettleston Harrier, with eyes very close together???? :7325: :7325: :7325:

Starts in January.

I guess that Del Amitri song was about me then.

JCDBigBear Well put. Not one with words myself ny E mail to them was a bit more blunt. Wonder if we get a reply? Plenty Austrailian Bears on here wonder if they can pursue this from their end. Can't blame the Aussie hacks for reprinting the bile if this is what they are drip fed from the bigots. It is our responsibility to pursue and correct this information on a global scale for as they say if you say it often enough they will start to believe it. At the moment they have free reign to print what they like.

Well there's your first problem...newsnow is run by a Rangers hating scumbag who trolls the internet looking for anti Rangers stories and propaganda. He lives a sad pathetic existence and he just cant accept the facts delivered by the SFA and the European governing bodies.

Ive said it before but our biggest problem is that for years we were quite apathetic towards them and we have let them get into positions of power and influence and if ever we respond they play the bigot card. Ignoring them doesnt work and neither does one or two people going on the offensive. We need to collectively go after these people and restore a sense of integrity and balance.

You think all the stories that appear on NewsNow are hand picked? :mutley:
