We might be leaking goals , but we wee superb every time we went on the attack today. Stood behind the goals 2nd half & it was wave after wave of attack from Rangers. I was we'll impressed. Am I getting carried away fellow bears?

No mate. You're not. The onslaught was relentless. And against the next best team in the league, at their home ground, in conditions that should have suited them more than us - we can be justly proud.

Division 3 is the place to be - cos that's where you'll see The Rangers :21:

aye there was a thread on here a few months ago about how well we're adapting to life in the third division, not well at the time, esp away from home.

the difference is night and day now, ally had 2 weeks to build a team from journymen and talented boys, we've learn'nt how to play in this league, ie having to earn the right to show we're better. we've some exciting young players bursting with pride to play for the gers, hopefully players coming back will bring some stability in defence where we need to improve.

great to see jig and little grabbing a brace upfront where we've good options with jig free'd up from defence

9 points clear with a game in hand after 15 games played.

well done to super ally and the team.

onwards and upwards bears.

I was rally impressed with Rangers today. Been to every away game this season apart from the Berwick game. My opinion ,for what it's worth is that we've finally found our feet & the passing & movement (especially 2nd half) was absolutly brilliant. Well done Rangers , great performance!

Elgin were competitive first half and scored two good goals but it could have finished double figures

for Rangers as second half we just attacked all half and a good performance in harsh weather

Elgin scored from 2 great shots (the 2nd of which obviously should never have been a free kick) So they have a great shot in their team

In the same period, Rangers scored their first 3 from great footballing moves - we have some great footballers in our team

I'm amazed how little we seem to be reliant on our summer signings. With the exception of Templeton, I'm beginning to think Hutton, Macleod, McKay, Perry, Hegarty, Little, Cole are all better than the players we all expected to be playing in their positions. Sheils, Black, Sandaza, Emilson, Agyriou, Kyle all look second best to me. Great to see our youth being given a proper chance. Fills me with pride and optimism for our future when I see a midfield of Hutton, Macleod, Templeton and McKay.

Standard of all 8 goals was outstanding.

Templeton & McLeod played two chipped balls into the box in the 2nd half that were just jaw dropping.

We're seeing some really exciting play these days & watching the likes of McKay & McLeod develop is great!

Even youg Heggarty wanted in on the act when he got moved to full back!

Although we are playing small clubs the end result is you have to score to win and by god we are, i think the rough spell at the start of the season has given us perspective of where we are and that the SFL3 championship isnt going to hand itself over, we have to earn it and we are starting to do that. Certainly better than starting the season well then going through a rough patch now, good teams get better over the season just like us.

Today we were great, especially when you take the conditions into play.

Despite the bumpy pitch and the strong wind, a lot of our football was great to watch.

We are now showing our strengths, the players have gelled and we have adapted to play in this league.

Our young players are showing great promise and are hungry for success.

Well played Rangers.

Onwards and upwards.

Notwithstanding the fact that Elgin City are a part time club, they still have a lot of experience in that team (some SPL clubs) so they are no pushovers by any means. Our kids did us proud today by the way they didn't drop their heads when Elgin came back at us twice with two scorching goals.

It would have been too easy for our kids to feel a sense of injustice at their second goal and lose the plot, but they just got on with it and played some excellent football on the deck in that gale.

Interesting days ahead if they keep up this progress. :pipe:
