Inverness 50 goals at the midway point in the season!

Recommended Posts

Their crowds are the lowest they have ever had in the SPL and they're 2nd. Butcher and his players must wonder why they bother.

Honestly?

Wonder what it would be like if they were doing bad.

They're 2nd in the league ffs. Is there 2 spots for the champions league next year?

There best ever was 2005/2006 5061

There worst ever was 2011/2012 4023

This year 3930

Not sure about the CL places this year but they should at least have a chance of making the Europa. Think people should really look at the bigger picture, Rangers aside, the games still dying on its arse but no ones big enough to admit it. Its probably safer to be in the lower leagues at the moment.

Quite impressive when you consider most teams struggle to get 50 goals by the end of the season.

No other team has scored more than 100 in the SPL, unsure of before the league change though.

We managed to get 101 goals when we won the title in 2003, that particular achievement of getting 100+ goals lies with the Gers (tu)

Im sure we got 101 in 2002 or 2003

No one I know from Inverness supports called thistle as their first choice they are all closet old firm fans, mostly rangers in fact

WVB has a soft spot for them. Always likes to see them doing well.

Someone should PM him.

I thought Butcher was a little unlucky at Sydney FC, they didn't give him the time to re structure the team and are very much like Chelsea in the way they get rid of managers. They used to pull 40k plus fans against Melbourne Victory when Ernie Merrick was the manager at Victory, another stupid decision when Victory let him go.

Most managers need time if money isn't readily available to shape a team and bring in players who can add something, it seems Butcher has had the time to show he can do it.

Could they end the season wiith 100 or more goals?

Has any team outside us or THEM ever finished with more than 100 goals?

Billy McKay has 18 goals so far.

That team that Butcher has built on peanuts are doing incredible.

It depends on how far you want to go back in time. :pipe:

Billy McKay is a big bluenose and rumours have it that he would be willing to sign for us once the transfer embargo is lifted.

He is having any amazing season for them after a poor one last season. I'm hoping he is given a game with NI in the next round of internationals.
