Filming Cops on mobiles and Civil Liberties!

Recommended Posts

I remember the days when the sight of police officers in a football ground was a very calming experience, when a word of warning or a good size 10 boot up the arse was normally enough to stop most trouble between supporters of the same team inside a stadium.

Now it's fucking Nazi stewards who think they own the place and Police who will batter your brains in if you dare sneeze at them who have Riot squad vehicles at the ready and mounted Police inside the ground for a fucking match against a bunch of part timers. doh

The Police don't seem to have a problem filming football supporters,so why should they have a problem supporters filming them?

it would have nothing to do with that most overused word in Scotland these days, would it?...Integrity :pipe:

A letter was issued to all Scottish police officers on the subject of being filmed in public.

Letter is from Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland.

If you feel inclined to film the 'old bill' then print the letter and carry a copy with you.

Here’s a wee guide for all you guys who think you are being persecuted by the polis.

I think the part relative to photography may be applicable, but as I found this guide posted by someone elsewhere on the WEB and I am not an expert on legal matters, I would advise anyone to verify the legality of the guide before practicing any of the suggestions contained in it.

There is a vid on utube of a guy ruining 2 polis day. The catch him filming them from his garden, then try to come into his garden and tell him its illegal to film the polis

Needless to say, they end up leaving looking very foolish. Most of the polis dont actually know the laws they are supposed to be upholding.

A request (and I'm not having a go at the OP) .

If any poster wants to draw our attention to articles in the Daily Rhebel could they please cut and paste them. I, for one, do not want to help fund that piece of sh1t by going to their website.

agree the rebel is a piece of shit but of late seems to be attacking or maybe defending is a better word ,the rights of your everyday guy .This Country is heading the way of a Nazi state .The use of the Moorov doctrine to catch everyone should be scrutinised by civil rights as for me it's helping the scum polis be corrupt with trumphed up charges and we are only Country in the world that gets away with it

While the instances of this in Scotland may be small, I seek your support in reminding your officers and staff that they should not prevent anyone from taking photographs in public. This applies equally to members of the media and public seeking to record images, who do not need a permit to photograph or film in public places. There are no powers prohibiting the taking of photographs, film or digital images in public places. Therefore members of the public and press should not be prevented from doing so. We rely on the cooperation of the media and amateur photographers whose images can help us identify criminals.

so fire in folks, get your cameras out and record those fucks at all games for the full game. Esp yous in BF1 & 2 and GF5 (It's you who seem to be getting the worst of it.

Also, anyone in the main stand and club deck should give the boys down in the Broomloan a hand by filming from a vantage point.

Let's play them at their own game.

If they know they will have multiple cameras pointing at the every time they enter these areas, it will make sure they wont go in there unless they have to. Get it done folks. It's us against them, we're 50,000 strong. we should not be getting bullied by a couple of hundred.

Filming on mobile phones or cameras is legal and perfectly acceptable provided that it is not for an unlawful purpose. An example of this would be filming children in a swimming pool. Any other use of recording devices in a public places fine ( and Ibrox Stadium is a public place on match days).

At Ibrox we are not allowed to film the players so just make sure you don't have any live play going on in your shots so they can't use that as a reason to delete. After the nonsense a few weeks ago I'm intending to film BF1 the next time they intrude. Yesterday there were always 6 or 7 cops watching a bunch of kids singing. Why? Just in case they hear the words billy and boys in the same sentence giving them an excuse to charge in? It would be nice to see some positive policing for a change.

Ive always wondered that. How on programmes such as Road Wars etc. They tell the person their lifting, its a public area and the cameraman can do what he wants. But ive seen police in the past threaten people with an arrest for filming them do their job..

went to see my grandaughter in a school play, took my camera with me, not allowed to use it did they think i was a pedo i know children need protection but all the teachers and parents knew me,funny thing is now one ever said a word when i picked her up at the school gate
