Patience.

Having viewed the predictable slating of the team after Saturday's result, just wanted to throw in my tuppenence worth since I've been out drinking at a football night out and listened to some depressed fellow bears and delusional non bears.

We are running with a team that is not even 6 months old. Players, who were contemplating "breaking into the team" within the next couple of years are now being judged as seasoned match winners.

Sure we should be running over our opposition this year and even winning SFL2 next year at a canter and I've even seen posts suggesting we don't need any further signings until we are back in the top league in whatever form that will be.

Football is not played on paper, it's not played via computer games, it's real flesh and blood players who are playing against others who are playing a game they would consider playing against the most successful club in the world as the pinnacle of their careers.

There is a reason that young players spend years waiting for their chance to play consistently in a top team like Rangers. Inconsistency. There is a reason that McCulloch was getting less and less playing time until this season.

We are where we are! We will build on what we have. We don't have to accept mediocre performances without comment but I would ask one thing of those without football experience... Please have patience? Sorry, if that sounds condescending.

I am not stressed yet due to the following 4 point mantra:

We are already winning this league at a canter.

We are now looking at building a team unity for next year, not the next 3 points.

We are no where near the finished article.

We are Rangers, super Rangers, no one likes us, we don't care....

It's unbelievable how fast all these people come out the wood work when Rangers drop a couple of points.

Suppose there poxy team is not worth talking about is it?

I think a great deal of it is a lot of people know fuck all about football and just want to be involved in the winning times. A generation spoiled by amazing success with 9IAR etc.

I personally moan like fuck after a bad game because we still make the same, daft mistakes we always make when we drop points. And if a manager can't fix those same mistakes that have been costing us points after a year and a half then fans have every right to express doubt about the manager.

Some people are far too sensitive when doubts are raised about McCoist, he's an absolute legend as a player but as a manager he's still got a lot to prove.

fans always moan after a bad result and performance its what we do, coming out the ground i wanted coisty and the lot sacked but having slept on it they should just be pistol whipped till they win every game we play

When Walter got it all wrong in the Uefa Cup Final I said some ridiculous things about him  Just glad I didn't think to write it all down and post it on the internet for people to read over and over. Embarrassing really.

very good post kpl, some people ought to have a look at themselves, the fans and the players.

ok we should be beating Elgin comfortably at home snd its not as if it was through lack of effort we let 2 points slip, literally, from our grasp....a single mistake from a goalkeeper, who has been great for us this ssason and who earlier in the season saved us from even more embarrassing results, doesnt make him a bad keeper or us a bad team.

the point you make about jig is spot on,his performance level has dropped and thats to be expected, the big mans not getting any younger and can't be expected to be on top form every week,he himself would admit his last 2 performances have been below average and he isnt offering enough movement up front but by the same token he should have support up there, and by support i mean a striker, not wide men,a striker making runs and getting on the end of his flicks and lay offs....bad results happen, and lets face it,its hardly a travesty....when we turn up and see guys not trying then we should have a go at them

All the fun of watching a squad put together 6 months ago and with a lot of young lads in key positions. This is where we are; we may as well accept it and enjoy the improvement that will happen before our eyes. Inconsistency is all part of the baggage. I don’t think Ally will be happy with it but I am sure he understands it.

How do you teach awareness, decision making, timing and calmness in a full on match, without playing them in full on matches? You need to take the training ground work on to the park and watch what is learned in the real cut and thrust of a full competitive game and take the weaknesses shown back to the training ground and reinforce the positive gains.

The op reeks on here

With common sense ;) at least I know who is here for the fight, who has a basic grasp of what rangers have endured and the consequences that had followed. We have long term posters who also sit in here all day and only start thr bullshit when the wee ally nay sayers come forware first.

Rangers a big family eh lol. the opinion on this board from the ally nay sayers are so out of touch with what many many bears believe so from now on I don't even think I'll bother with any of them.

Don't get me wrong or hit me with its his opinion blah blah blah, debate this and that blah blah blah.

Ps, was thr not a thread not so long ago where all the nay sayers had a chance to put thr tuppence worth forward but they all decided to steer clear? Oh yeah only vocal and a fan (lol) when it's a player doing wrong or the manager got it wrong.

My personal preference is to use a strong piece of hard wood preferably willow but the sentiments are the same :5536:
