Dunny_01 2,007
I was told as of tmora Rangers have taken all stewards and security in house? Surely that has been a long time coming and will be fantastic to get the right staff in to build a rapport with the fans on matchday. Even away games for a long time have been good with Rangers officials there but now they are all Rangers employees, can only be a good thing.Ive not seen this talked about so thought i would thread it! ianb1547 3,774
I would be surprised if this happened as of tomorrow. Surely any contract with G4S would be until the end of a season, and I havent seen any adverts for new stewards/staff.Hope Im wrong, as I think we could do better if stewarding was in-house...just that the timing seems strange. Madina 4,226
Hope it's true as some right pricks worked for G4S, especially the ones "guarding" the players as they left after the game. Poor hungry terminator wannabes springs to mind for a few of them

kplfishtank 4,745
only downside of this is DM and RH will be running it and both being ex cops fans will need to watch as they have a ban first ask questions later policy.

As well as a revenue saving move this should hopefully add to the supporter experience as G4S are awful

If they done it right surely the policing bills will dramitically decrease. Its worked with orange parades etc were they police themselves, so surely this excercise will save rangers a fortune as well!!!also another thought, by having this in place do Rangers then invite more concerts etc to the stadium?? baxfanalex 113
This is the same G4S which had the discredited Labour Peer and former Savile FC chairman as their mouthpiece, is it not ? I, personally , wanted them to stay so that, when they failed again, we too could call on the services of our Armed Forces personnel to rescue the situation. Get the word out to the troops coming home that the high-viz jaikets are waiting for them. Meanwhile over at Hollyrood, wee fat Eck and his cronies have engaged the services of *** as security for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.Fill in the *** for your chance to enter our daily draw for a free guide to " Shoplifting at the Forge ". legalbeagle 3,734
Depending on how they operate (i.e. if G4S have specifically dedicated 'Rangers' stewards) then it would be likely to see the staff TUPE transferred over to work for the club direct, so, I wouldn't expect any sort of immediate change if this has occurred. If its true we would have to hire a whole new army for matchdays.
ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
Lets hope David Martin is the 1st to get shown the door. This is the same cunt that never allowed TBO and the UBS to expand the section which Rangers and the Rangers ticket office were happy to do.He put an end to it and would rather see everyone sitting down reading a book.
