macranger 296
Well sorry Neil, but if your turning down £10k for playing in div 3 & 2, well fk off right now.

TheBluenose1972 1,405
10k in the Scottish 3rd division? We trying to put ourselves out of business?
GrangemouthRSC 832
We shouldn't be paying any player £10,000 + a week.
Albertz123 598
Why the fuck offer him one year? Pathetic. He should be offered a longer contract than that.
Ace 3,643
It's not the wages, it's the length of the contract on offer, he wants minimum 2 yrs, only been offered 1. Although, I do find the £10k/wk salary ridiculous, for this level we're playing at.
bombaybadboy08 15,660
Makes him sound a bit greedy when in reality he's being asked to take a cut with less security.Same situation as Nacho I think? I agreed with us not giving him longer but I think Alexander being a keeper merits it.
JM1872 3,818
Offering a keeper like Neil 1 year on his contract is shocking. There should be no worries about handing him a 2 or even 3 year deal. As he gets older he would be a more than suitable back up to a younger keeper, and a good mentor too. Keepers can play on much longer than others.Anyway, I'm sure Neil will put pen to paper. TheBluenose1972 1,405
Just seen this part...SunSport understands the money on the table for the 34-year-old actually represents a cut of about £1,000 a week. So he's on 11k the now? Mental!

Marky. 7,107
Quotes? Evidence? Nothing. The Sun have just seen that we are trying to get this Australian on trial and have jumped to a conclusion as to why.
The Godfather 75,508
I don't think we should be paying any player 10k in the lower leagues tbh. He needs security and a longer contract which I'm sure we will work out.

Madina 4,226
Ffs 10k in these leagues wowMy thoughts exactly. We shouldnt be paying any more than 5k per week to any player until we reach the top flight IMO
bombaybadboy08 15,660
I know you may not like this but it's the same as what happened with Miller I think keepers have a longer shelf-life though.I don't think we have any decent young keepers do we? Or I'd be all for putting them into the Number 1 jersey.

Albertz123 598
If I was him it wouldn't make me think I'm in the plansExactly. Keepers can go on to 40+ but if they don't play regularly they are forgotten. I'd be willing to be he would take 4 year contract at £5k per week than a 1 year at £10k per week. He has been great for us and showed he was patient to get his opportunity, why fuck it up now and offer him less than he is worth. Who is doing the contract negotiations? Ally won't approve of this.
