Faircity 186
....Sadly thats the way it is...this gangfuck of a reconstruction will not effect the timescale for us getting back to the summit of scottish football, from the minute we agreed to starting in the 3rd div we knew it would take us three seasons to go through the leagues..in fact it strangely makes it just a wee bit easier for us seeing as we are playing the same 3rd div sides again next season.... What we need to do is KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON building our side...attack our detractors at every oppertunity, in the courts if need be but keep our eyes on the target... King Jela 21,551
Nope, going absolutely nowhere. The sooner supporters realise this, the better. No amount of Charles Green sound bites can change that.
Gers1690 194
I'd be all for a move elsewhere...But I don't believe reconstruction is a slap in the face or making this season meaningless... We'll still have new teams to play next season; still be fighting for promotion to reach Scotland's second tier of football and will still require two more promotions to reach the top division to reclaim our title. But the whole 'three divisions of 8' for the split is just pathetic - it will make Scottish football laughable in my opinion. TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
A move elsewhere would be logistically difficult, very difficult, but not impossible. Just very highly unlikely.SKY call the shots, and, for the moment, they don't need us.
8watp8 254
we will move eventually, scottish football will die and im not saying that bitterly, its happening all over europe, business and tv is ruining the game, we have both caley and county in our top league probably with a hard core support of around 2,000 each, scotland will become amateur unless we join a british league once fifa lifts regulations. the sad thing is the standard will get even worse before that happens and crowds will dwindle further. billy mckay and leigh griffiths are touted as the best in the top flight, a guy from northampton and a guy on loan from wolves (obviously not good enough to make their first team) that says it all, and it will only get worse. 8watp8 254
Gorgeous mate, funnily enough as soon as i had copied yours i thought "as" sounded better than "like" then i saw your sig and thought the bastard got there first Would be amazing if it does catch on
govanblue 16,847
Not only sounds better, but means more."As" means "in exactly the same way" whereas "like" means "in a similar way".A subtle, yet important difference. And "as" is loyal to the Marching Through Georgia" originalEdit: but oops, wrong thread but here's the link anyway, if anybody wants to use ithttp://i1327.photobu...zps5011a28f.jpg

cushynumber 25,178
is this the limit to our ambition then? get back to the top of a corrupt pile of a shite? shouldn't we at least attempt and strive for better? a lot of folks on RM saying "no surrender" to them, but by accepting this as our lot, I feel we are doing the opposite. Big Al 55 9,503
Ultimately a European legue will happen IMO, the best we can hope for is to be back at the top of Scottish Football by then. If we are to leave Scottish Football it will be to a league with teams from Sweden, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, with promotion and relegation back to the national leagues.I know there are a lot of hurdles to this, but eventually it will happen and that will be our only route out of Scottish Football. I know, because i'm one of them. Now is the time to pioneer something new. They used to say the world was flat and if you sailed the Atlantic you'd fall into space.
