centenarystand 2,229
Anyone remember Dougie Fraser the ATR commentator? It must be a couple of years ago Dougie was found dead in a canal in Leeds suspected suicide. Dougie had great voice tones and second to none in calling a finish on the Northern tracks he covered.I always thought the coverage of his death was very low key, anyone as keen in horse racing as myself will know what i mean.Such a shame that a man as himself was driven to such an ending.I thought at the time ATR didnt have much to say on it other than a small tribute. I know horse racing aint everyones cup of tea but myself i always found this a bit of a mystery. If anyone else is a keen horse racing fan and remembers this id appreciate your views.RIP DF.
