Conference chairman Brian Lee has refused to close the door on a possible move south for Rangers.

The Scottish club’s chief executive Charles Green told talkSPORT last week that he would be prepared to quit Scotland and relocate his club to England if plans for a reform of the game north of the border goes ahead.

An exclusive talkSPORT poll has revealed clubs in the Blue Square Premier Division would be in favour of the switch, and Lee insists it would not be impossible.

He told Keys and Gray: “On Monday [January 21] we have a mid-season meeting of clubs so that is a topic for conversation. It’s up to the clubs to make rule changes.

“There are one or two problems, of course. It’s up to FIFA whether a club can change countries or not, so that’s the first issue. And the second, and probably the most important, is the problem it would create with promotion and relegation and having an uneven number of teams.

“It would be wrong if the Football League would not take Rangers as part of the promotion and relegation system. Otherwise they would be in the Conference keeping out a team who might have the wherewithal to go higher in the pyramid.

“But they are not insurmountable problems. You will have to have the co-operation of a lot of different organisations to make it possible, but where there is a will there is a way.”

talkSPORT polled 14 of the 24 clubs in the Blue Square Premier League to ask if they would support a move to introduce Rangers into the league. These are the results…

What's annoying me about all this moving south talk is that all the plans seems to include Celtic.

They have made their corrupt bed, and should therefore be made to sleep in it.

If they are so delighted about having a free run at the title for the next three years, why not make them really happy and give them a free run until the SPL folds.

Honestly would be happy if we never played, heard, or seen them again.

Celtic weren't mentioned in that. Opposite infact, he said an odd number of teams will cause a problem

The way I see m8 you can't have one without the other, the only games that the World wants too see are us v's them.

If we ever did find a way out I would think it would have to be hand in hand with them, afterall if they managed to leave would we be happy to dominate a pish Scottish league?

How would it work with them though?

Would they have to get rid of their best players, just like the traitors who left us?

Would Hooper, Wanyama, etc be happy playing in the conference?

More questions than answers I guess but I still can't see them or us going and one or the other being happy to stay

i disagree. Look at the turn out at all of our games in the 3rd division, fans want to see us playing new teams. I agree thats what sky would want but fuck 'em, if we got in and the scum didn't then sky would just pull the plug on the SPL. In terms of fans wanting to see the Rangers play- that will always be the case.

It really is the first indication that this could be more than just a pipe dream!

Yesterday I posted "Rangers will be playing elsewhere in 5 or 10 years, but it won't be England" shows what I know

It's all very fluid at the moment. I agreed with your comments yesterday as that's where I see the future. The debate's magic though eh.
