Teamgers 1,216
Broadcast Now is reporting that ESPN is in talks to sell off its sports rights as part of a deal that could see the US broadcaster exit the UK! Interesting stuff, and i wonder how this will affect the poxy SPHell and their pursuit of TV deal.http://www.a516digital.com/2013/02/e...off-talks.html
delamonty 992
One thing is for sure mate... it's not good news for the SPLHell. Can't say I'm too bothered about that hmm wonder who they are selling the rights to?
bearsrus 12
I think BT will pick up what ESPN leave behind as far as football goes,ESPN were always going to be in trouble in the UK when they lost the EPL games.

Sweetheart 8,458
It would be great to have a pre-paid tv box of Scottish football, or a Scottish football channel. It's a shame the big companies don't do it, I think alot of people would subscribe to it. maybe it's a way forward?
gordonb23 99
It'd be a shame if this happens. Shows like pardon the interruption and talk of the terrace were brilliant.

Dietspam 733
Rememeber guys, we've got to go back to this SPhell, or top flight at some point. Wishing it into destruction would be cutting out nose off to spit our face. If there's no money in the game, we'll loose top players and end up like the Irish leagues. Muirheadbear 1,483
I dropped ESPN when I found out that for every Rangers away game we get sweet f..k all. The home team gets approx 15% and the SPL gets 85% between them! They're not getting my money or viewing figure! No way!

They said they don't need us and we certainly don't need them. The Scottish game will be as strong as it is going to be, to compare us to the Irish league would be to suggest that the Irish league has a Rangers or Celtic. whytes3 254
It is probably worse news for us than the SPL as espn seem to have been pretty sensible in choosing to show more of our games than the spls
