TheFarmer 260
Who would you choose?I would choose Cove Rangers and Spartans as I don't think the junior teams would want to move and both these teams have a large local population to build up a fan-base from, they would possibly need to upgrade their stadiums though.Highland League:Cove Rangers?Forres Mechanics?Buckie Thistle?East of Scotland League:Edinburgh City?Spartans?Gretna 2008?South of Scotland league:Dalbeattie Star?Juniors:Irvine Meadow?Beith Juniors?Auchinleck?Pollock?Bonnyrigg Rose?Linlithgow Rose? Redwhiteandblue 3,330
There wouldn't be any space to add teams.
trublusince1982 768
dont think anyone should get to decide it should be achieved through a playoff style comp between the top 2 or 3 teams from each of the leagues you stated.Would raise cash that could be given to the successful teams and creates a little bit of excitement
Redwhiteandblue 3,330
And it's 12-12-18, not 12-12-10-10.
TheFarmer 260
There wouldn't be any space to add teams. There would if the SFL get their way and go 12-12-10-10 instead of 12-12-18Which looks the preffered setup at the moment

Redwhiteandblue 3,330
Pretty pissed off that the sfl's proposals still have they ridiculous mini-leagues. Not sure who I would want to join. I have no idea what the clubs in the Highland league etc are like.

TheFarmer 260
Cove are normally one of the best. That's all I know The ones in the OP are the ones that have had some sustained recent success.Cove have been quality for the last 5/6 seasons and have a new £3m stadium with planning permission accepted. Ozblue 4,332
I'm sure adding another two clubs with a combined support that could fit in the Ibrox toilets would add excitement and fresh revenue streams to Scottish football

Dutchy 1,200
I still think this whole set up and the rush to get it into place is a lot of nonsense.I was reading an article in Mondays record about Longmuirs views, headline, "Gers still in limbo for next season". After a lot of blah, blah he finally comes out with this at the end of the piec:" The honest answer is there have been no discussions as to where Rangers will play if they win the 3rd Div. We're still debating whether we should proceed with the 12-12-18 model or invite two new clubs to join and switch to 12-12-10-10. That's the decision which needs to be made and we hope to vote on the issue as soon as possible. We're hoping to promote the first draft of our rulebook next week"They don't even know how the promotion/relagation works and the much vaunted pyroamind system has had no airing in any of these discussions. How can anybody vote for something they don't know how it's going to work and listen to the supporters of this set up saying fans will like it once they get used to it.Used to what is my question? redwhiteandgreen 43
would love Linlithgow Rose as i grew up around there but no chance that they will want to become part of the league system. other than that Cove Rangers and Spartans are probably the favourites. not sure if i want Spartans though; i seem to remeber there was some discussion over them taking our place if our licence was not given ?
