j1mgg 3,766
I don't see why we play our best striker,Little, on the wing. Also I think jig could make a huge difference in defence and is hemmings injured?
Loyal-Bear 229
I dont understant it myself? Little deserves his place up front. Mcculloch shuld replace Cribari in defence imo.

I agree mate and suggested this on another thread.Jig at the back (for either Hegarty or Cribari)McKay wide (instead of Naismith)Little up frontIt cant be any worse !! Blue Forever 179
McCulloch is terrible in defence (though he couldn't do any worse than the current 1st choice), and on today's form isn't much better up front. Having him up there makes it too tempting to punt it long. Little should be the lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 with McKay, Shiels and Templeton behind him. TMB 14,167
Ally played Papac at CM. He played Edu on the right wing. He played Bartley at RB. Ortiz on the left-wing. Am I surprised that he's playing people out of position? Nah.
scarkev 3,540
Some of his line ups have been truly baffling! Naismith at right mid is a complete joke, I just can't understand the logic! He actually makes things hard for himself....look at games vs Clyde and queens park where we had players playing in their natural positions...it does help! MasterD 7,464
Little was probably the only player to come out of today with any credit. Ran his baws off.He played the 1st half last week upfront and didn't do much or see much of the ball, moved to left for the 2nd half and scored 2 goals. Little playing upfront or wing is the least of our worries tbh.
five stars 1,767
McCullochs best days are behind him. Little has to play centre forward, Jig centre half or on the bench.

There seems to be a need to play a big man up top which is fine but why noy play someone beside him?
Davie2909 21
Ally is completely and utterly clueless! Time to move on IMO. We need a proper manager and coaching team ASAP
TheBluenose1972 1,405
Ally is just replicating what Walter taught him about playing players out of position.
IbroxBurnzy 484
Playing players out of position and punting the ball up the park at every opportunity are what we specialise in unfortunately.
trublusince1982 768
little had played in 3 different positions by the 49th minute, how can you expect any player to make a decent contribution to the game under they circumstances
Spectre 1,663
The problem we have is that one of the players who has become least effective is our current captain and a player who has show great loyalty over the past year. It's obsiously too difficult for Ally to drop him whereas an experienced manager would see it has to be done for the team to improve. Then again we're going to win this league regardless so maybe he doesn't see the need.
MCLACHLAN1 49
Controversial here.We are better without Jig

topgoalie 637
So we play 4 across the back at Ibrox against part-timers who at best keep one up.They flood the midfield and again today we were well short in that department.Who played the ball along the deck today, and played some nice triangular movements, out thought and out fought their opponents, well it certainly was NOT Rangers.Could we not try a different formation and tactics ffs.To start with we do not NEED a flat back four,a three with a five midfield,[two hugging the touchline ie Templeton and McKay],with TWO up top at all times, would suffice thank you against PART-TIMERS AT IBROX.Anyone seen humping the ball up the park from the goalie on is NOT acceptibale, and should be told so.FUCK if we cannot experiment in this division im afraid we are FUCKED.............
