Thermopylae 15,288
It kinda makes me think of the modern day Egyptians being left the pyramids and having no idea what to do with them other than open the doors to the tourists

JM1872 3,821
Facilities don't matter at the end of the day. A team with excellent facilities but shite guidance and real structure won't dominate on the park. In fact, I think Murray Park is a hindrance at the moment. Some of these players need to be brought back down to Earth ASAP. Nothing is better than hard work. I can't help but imagine the benefit we might have if someone came in who wanted to do it his way, a forgeiner perhaps? Who wasn't afraid to stamp his own authority on the Club and our methods. Murray Park is there to be utilised, the way Ajax and so forth use there facility. If we go to England we will need to be prepared and ready for the battle. I fear, following today, we would be torn apart in England. If I was in charge none of these players would be at Ibrox beyond summer 2014. None at all... Possibly except a number measurable with one hand.

Tamb 126
Facilities don't play football, what kind of training ground do Annan and all the rest of the teams that we have been playing all season have? Some of them train in public facilities. It's about ability and character, together with motivation from the coaching staff,

sassaaaa 11,406
Its a terrific complex but probably produced less young hopes than all the others .
scarkev 3,540
I actually think having a facility as good as Murray Park has damaged the progress of some younger players who get pampered to young and think they have made it! Was interesting listening to Ian Mccall say that whenever you took a player from the old firm on loan to the lower divisions it was a "nightmare"....Now I am sure this doesnt go for every player but I really do think attitude is the problem. If you read the reports from Partick Thistle re Kal Naismith last year I think you get the idea. I am sick of our money being wasted on arrogant guys who dont give a toss about this club (not all of them). I am sick of how we are playing and I do blame Ally and the coaching staff to a point but the players we have are seriously letting down not just the manager but the fans as well...If I was in charge I would be changing everything from top to bottom. New coaches, New scouts, new fitness and medical staff. I would be introducing a new fitness regime and have morning and afternoon training sessions every day. Fitness/Ball work in the morning, Tactical work in the afternoon. Use Murray Park so the players stay for lunch, get them on a proper diet and hopefully get them bonding by spending more time together as a team. I would have the U19's training at Bellahouston Park in the morning away from the luxury of MP and make them work for that privilege. This would make a difference and would be the core changes I would make before beginning to look at developing a progressive style of play. Ritchie Rich 27
Paul Sturrock used to have the players in for extra training sessions if they had a shit performance. Maybe Ally needs to follow suit, if they're gonna take it easy on the Saturday then they're gonna work twice as hard the rest of the week. BRITNEY IS NOT FEELING IT 8,293
The players are treated like superstars from the minute they arrive , too much is done for them on a daily basis , Ally and the management team are too chummy with the players , they need to step back a bit and re-create the distinction between management and players

Sweetheart 8,458
Facilities at Murry Park are among the best in the world. The staffs job is to train people, as individuals, to play football, which they have been doing successfully for years. The job of the manager is to knit those individuals together as a team. The captains job is to maintain team discipline on the pitch. IMO, there's no doubting Ally has been training them to work as a team, nor Lee McCullochs ability as a captain. On a number of occassions we have seen the coaching staff, Ally, and Lee bawling out the team. That can only be because the team players weren't following the game plan. If players aren't following the game plan, where does the problem lay?The coaching staff have done their job, Ally has done his job, Lee has also done his job, so the problem, IMO, lies with the individual. if the individual can't maintain team discipline then the team plan falls apart. Chef 436
I'm sure some think, great complex, now come the great youths lol it don't work like a production line, more a faulty goods line with the odd prospect and this will be like many clubs.
