Rangers was sold direct to Sevco Scotland, not via Sevco 5088

This is relevant to a number of theads tonight.

Forget what a "Rangers spokesman" said or didn't say some time last year, the fact of the matter is that the Club was sold direct from oldco to Sevco Scotland Limited. It was NOT sold to Sevco 5088 Limited and then transferred on to Sevco Scotland Limited. The Club and assets have never been owned by Sevco 5088 Limited despite the liar Whyte saying otherwise.

Here is an extract from the D&P interim report dated 10 July 2012:

"4.1 The Club continued to trade under the control of the Joint Administrators up to the date of the sale of the business and assets of the Company to Sevco on 14 June 2012."

"Sevco" is defined in the report as: "Sevco Scotland Limited of Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow G51 2XD (Company number SC425159)"

In the D&P final report dated 27 September 2012, they stated:

"7.1 A detailed outline of the marketing process undertaken by the Joint Administrators which preceded the sale of the business, history and certain assets of the Club to Newco on 14 June 2012, was provided in the previous report to creditors dated 10 July 2012."

"Newco" is defined in this report as "The Rangers Football Club Limited (Formerly Sevco Scotland Limited) of Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow G51 2XD (Company number SC425159)"

Facts are facts. We really need to stop doing the mhedia's job for them.

So good to read a factual post instead of all the hysterical over reactions to the sensationalised negativity!

A spokesman for Rangers confirmed that there had been a transfer of assets between one newco and a second separate newco. He told STV: "For the avoidance of doubt, Sevco 5088 Limited bought the assets of the Rangers Football Club and then transferred them to Sevco Scotland Limited so that all the assets would be in the Scottish registered company that is Rangers FC."

I don't care what a "Rangers spokesman" said. I'm only dealing in facts. The "Rangers spokesman" was clearly wrong when you read the D&P reports - they know who they sold the business to!

It was also quoted in the IPO prospectus that the assets went directly to Sevco Scotland. The most important thing is, this means Craig Whyte has no claim against the club.

What is concerning is that a club spokesman categorically stated that the assets were transferred to Sevco 5088 in the first instance. This isn't a mistake. The direct transfer of assets to Sevco Scotland was vital for CG and co to cut Craig Whyte out of the deal

I like it Boss (tu) Fuck knows why our spokesperson is saying the opposite, shooting ourselves in the foot for no good reason it would seem.

A better question would be who is this spokesperson....if they in fact exist! Wouldn't be the first time the media have used the "source" card to suit their story!

You have to wonder who sanctioned the statement then...

It seems likely that this is what happened. Whyte was strung along believing he had an interest in Sevco 5088 (and with recordings to back him up) but the Club was actually sold to Sevco Scotland without Whyte (or many others) realising. Whyte has never had any interest in Sevco Scotland and therefore has no claim over the Club.

The conman was conned, which is a nice thought.

If it did come from Rangers, I can only surmise that either the author had been wrongly briefed or that it was a deliberate attempt to keep Whyte off the scent.

You've got to take the reports from D&P as factual and correct in this one though, regardless of what a Rangers spokesperson said.

If D&P have no record of that transfer regarding "Sevco 5088" then it is correct to assume it did not happen as D&P were wholly responsible for the sale of the assets.

Hopefully these points Boss has posted make there way to the media and get reported.

Can't wait until this is all finally over. Every time whytes name pops up alarm bells start ringing again and I just can't 100% accept it is simply just whyte making mischief. I hope that is the case though and there is fuck all in this whole story.

so why was sevco 5088 relivent to rangers and why did whyte invest money into them

Ultimately Sevco 5088 wasn't relevant to Rangers and if Whyte did invest money in that company (which I doubt) he was duped.
