ConorRFC51 38
Seems to be a lot of suggestions that Fergie wasn't happy with how David Gill is leaving and how little influence he had over it. Seems they were both pretty close, business wise and personally.
Thermopylae 15,286
Will be interesting to see what he says at the press conference on Friday ... I think there are probably quite a few reasons why he's chosen now

BlueSuedeSambas 53,775
This was a good time for him to leave IMO.Gill is away they have a core of players who are all getting older so they will need to rebuild again soon which is usually a 2-4 year job plus Man City & Chelsea are probably going to come back strong next year, especially if Jose Mourinho comes back to Chelsea & City replace Mancini. Kopter 310
Best tribute was Nick Robinson's on Radio 4's Today programme. Just happened at 8.20 if anyone wants to listen again.
derek1872 548
This thread was a huge let down. I only got mentioned a couple of times and I had to wait until page 12 to see a happy person about this (godfather, shocker!). I expected all sorts of insults about the greatest manager of all time.Arise Sir David Moyes!
Straight-Edge-Loyal 6,686
Timmy on Clyde saying that Jock Stein was better because he won the European Cup with a team of 'boys who all stayed five miles from the stadium...'Hahahah... The geographical radius of that team is the only thing they don't use the Saville Calculator for!Normal service resumed now. His next point is about Rangers. That Lennox wank is from Saltcoats which is further way than 5 miles.
