Sir Alex Ferguson Retires

Recommended Posts

The key to Alex Fergusons success as the greatest manager of all time is the Govan protestant work ethic engrained in him from being a young Rangers man raised by a father working in the Govan shipyards and influenced by the values instilled by such an upbringing.

Because Moyes' contract isn't expiring for another load of weeks. United board won't want to be without a manager for that long, it'll have a negative effect on a lot of things.

Fergie will be there until the end of the season.

Utd wont be negotiating him his release from Everton. No way.

His Celtic-supporting, Humanist father who, like his son, married a Roman Catholic. :D

Hopefully the Glazers have the foresight to advertise the role on the Kvaerner Govan's notice board.

Will easily be the toughest job in football for whichever manager takes over, the comparisons will be there for several years to come and may make it an almost impossible role.

Even the strongest of managers may struggle to compete with SAFs legacy.

Poll on Redcafe about his replacement.

Mourinho way out in front, Moyes in third with 9% of the votes...

If Moyes gets it, he'll probably break his duck for wins at Old Trafford.....The Emirates, Anfield and Stamford Bridge.
