Will easily be the toughest job in football for whichever manager takes over, the comparisons will be there for several years to come and may make it an almost impossible role.

Even the strongest of managers may struggle to compete with SAFs legacy.

Two or three who followed Busby found that out.

Everton deny official approach for Moyes from United.

i just checked the odds again, Blanc has doubled from 100 to 200 so my bets down the shitter - mourinho has jumped from 3.5 to 8 and Moyes halved down to about 1/6, it looks like a done deal.

Can't believe United would appoint a manager who's never won anything ... even Eck and Michael Laudrup (who's just in the door) have won cups down south but Moyes has drawn a blank

Considering the appointment will have a lot to do with Sir Alex, i think people can trust his judgement.

@BenSmithBBC: Suggestion is that the #MUFC players were told the identity of their new manager at training this morning.

NYSE opens in twenty minutes. If any deal has already been done with regard to a successor, I would expect something to be announced soon.
