CaptainAmerica18 846
An FA Cup runners-up medal and no Champions League experience, not exactly the outstanding candidate for the job.
ConorRFC51 38
Am I the only one not convinced by Moyes whatsoever? He seems like a 'safe' appointment. He's won nothing with Everton, people seem to throw out the cliche that he has no money to work with but you don't need tons of money to have good players, plus he has Fellaini, Baines, Jagielka, Jelavic, Howard, Anichebe who are all very decent players. Swansea have only been in the EPL 2 seasons and they already have a trophy. He has no European experience, he's gonna get thrown right into it next season in the CL group stages. The stat that was produced earlier was staggering, never in 10 years won at Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge or the Emirates? Moyes has done a good job at Everton, no denying it. But I honestly think he's over-hyped and the whole "no money" gets bandied about far too much for me. He might go and prove me wrong, but I think United will hit a decline for 2-3 seasons, but it seems like the United board are willing to take that risk because Moyes has 'longevity'.Although 1 thing he should do is bring in Baines and Fellaini, who would both be very good signings. OLE SUPER WILBERT 2,475
Sir Alex Ferguson to David Moyes. This makes me happy.
ClydebankBearWATP 877
I think he will be good in the long term, will grow into the role imo
SwallowsHisOwnSpunk 7,798
He would be a good choice Moyes is a very similar manager to SAF, he knows how to get the best from his players on a tight budget and get's them working as a team with pretty good football, he spends a fraction of what all the teams around him spend yet manages to consistently get them into the european spots and on the odd occasion he does spend money he usually gets it spot on and the player turns out to fit their style perfectly. It remains to be seen if he can replicate that on a bigger scale with more money to spend but the people writing him off as a poor manager are completley wrong. Ricky_ 893
if they appoint moyes as man u gaffer then Chelsea, arsenal and citeah will rub their hands with glee, he's not a good manager at allindeed, he's been an FA cup runner up & managed a 4th place finish in 2006.....I think he's a terrible appointment - they just want a carbon copy of Ferguson to install the kind of stabilty they are used to but this has disaster written all over it. They need a winner, not an robust mediocre guy.
