Never seen this subject being discussed at all by the mHedia or sporting integrity brigade which is strange but they went down the exact same road as Rangers did but faced no sporting sanctions at all back in 1991.

Edinburgh Hibernian plc (latterly Forth Investments plc) went into liquidation in 1991. Tom Farmer then bought the club and assets from the receiver and the club continued like nothing had happend.

No fines from the SFA, No relegation etc.

Who says it's one rule for Rangers and another for everyone else????

Not 100% sure this was their actual primary company mate.

It only started up in 1988, so they would have to have newco'd in 1988 as well.

This was likely to be a holding company IMO.

From what i've seen online Forth Investments plc owned the club and assets so it must have been the parent company? it also went under due to debts owed by Hibs Football club.

Hibs holding company seems to be called H.F.C Holdings Ltd.

Edinburgh Hibernian plc (AKA Forth Investments plc) (SC112772) liquidated

Hibernian FC Ltd (as they trade shares in the club now) (SC005323)

Hibs were formed in 1878 and won the Scottish Cup in 1887. They went bust in 1891 and reformed as a completely different club in 1892. They still show the Scottish cup in 1887 in their current honours despite dying as a club in 1891
