DelightfulDennis 123
Delighted to hear it's all now official. All we need now is for shareholders to vote it through. Paul Murray especially will be an excellent addition to the board. http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/24342204A group of investors have written to Rangers with a proposal to have four new directors appointed, including Paul Murray and Malcolm Murray. The group wants the proposal put forward at the PLC's AGM next month.Malcolm Murray is the club's former chairman and Paul Murray was previously a member of the board of The Rangers Football Club PLC, which was placed into liquidation last year. The shareholders also want Scott Murdoch and Alex Wilson on the board.Murdoch is currently a director of Loch Lomond Golf Club and Wilson is a former HR director with BT.Previously, a group of disgruntled shareholders which included businessman Jim McColl, had issued a demanded for current directors Brian Stockbridge and Bryan Smart to stand down from the board of The Rangers International Football Club PLC (RIFC) , which is the parent company of The Rangers Football Club Ltd.The group wanted accountant Frank Blin and former director Paul Murray appointed in their place, but have since withdrawn the request .Rangers announced earlier this month that the board would consider a request for Blin, Paul Murray, former Ibrox chairman John McClelland and bus company tycoon Sandy Easdale, brother of current non-executive director James, to be added to the PLC board.Sandy Easdale joined the football board on 14 September, with his brother James having been appointed in July after Charles Green's departure as chief executive.RIFC's statement of annual accounts requires to be published a month before the company's annual meeting, which must take place no later than 31 October.Shareholders require three weeks' notice for the company's AGM and advance sight of the accounting report, whereupon they will vote to accept or reject the accounts. DelightfulDennis 123
DD there was no need to troll with your promotion of PM. We know where you stand. No need for that, Peter. I am only offering an opinion. There's going to be a lot of debate over the coming weeks and it's all geared towards the AGM. One of the most important AGM's in our history. Time will tell as to whether he is or not but i have a respect for him i didnt have before.

We can debate and we can put our opinions forward in the meantime but nothing can happen until shareholders are given the opportunity to vote.Paul Murray has been saying that all along. He has encouraged shareholders to attend the AGM, listen to the debate, and then vote whichever way you prefer. We have a democracy in place and that's the way it should be. sergio 1,199
Again, nothing there to get excited about. To many fucking Murray's for my liking. The accounts, no matter how good they are, will be torn to shreds by everyone. You can smell the blood already, shame that some supporters groups are in this for they're own good, fair enough if they admitted it, instead they think we all button up the fucking back. The thing is, it doesn't matter if they appoint Andy Murray on to the board, they still won't get the votes they need at the AGM ..... sergio 1,199
How do you know they won't get the votes required?Because I was very good at maths at school, the current board hold all the aces, and over 60% of the shares. Minico cannot win this, the only thing they can hope for is that they spook some investors by the devaluing the brand ... tactics that they are currently using. I thought the last time we heard anything even remotely concrete on what shares the current board have voting for them it was the announcement that Sandy Easdale has 4 point something percent shareholding himself plus a bunch of proxy votes taking him up to about 24% in order to represent the current board at the AGM?There's certainly a LOT of spin going on just now, but I'd be absolutely astonished if the current board have a majority of votes come the AGM. Even if every fan and Ally and co chipped in, it still wont be remotely close, they need a big player, maybe the Easdales to jump ship and that is why they have the supporters groups trying to muddy the waters. I wonder what Minico have promised the fans groups for the protests .... Oh and whilst I am at it, for the clowns that had the Give us our club back banners, We never had our club, and thank the heavens for that, can you imagine the fucking turmoil we would be in with the current supporters groups having a say in the running of the club .... It's something which is in motion.Regarding the Easdales jumping ship.... now that would be bloody interesting! They would certainly get more support from our fans if they did that!
