Drunk and disorderly. 15,094
Who is the best striker? Hard to say. If Daily hasn't scored by 1.30 p.m on Sunday swap him with Jig. I have an agenda and I'm not hiding it. I want our two most experienced players. Both captains for years. Both able to play the centre back and striker roles. I want them to compete, to push each other on. Competition is good. Score in 45 or the other starts the second half as striker. What you think people? Think it best to do it when we are winning comfortably. Although that could upset the one who has already played well. Trouble doing it when we are playing badly is that we could knock the confidence of both players in one game. Suppose neither scored what about the next game, who deserves to be upfront ? Or one scored from centre half and the other doesn't, what next game ? Think I'll keep it the way it is until it needs changing.
Ger_onimo 20,488
Whoever starts will be shooting when they should be passing, to try and stay on the pitch. Plus the overall game of both players has a lot more to it than scoring goals .
AlBear. 8,499
Daly has led the line well and should keep his spot. After 4 goals last time he deserves the full 90, unless he has a shockingly bad 1st half. While people don't like Jig at CB we have been very mean defensively so far with him there and the duel threat of them both from set pieces is invaluable. For a novelty I'd like to see us go with both up front for a game this season. CB's will be wincing in pain before a balls kicked seeing they're facing Jig and Jon. Won't be ran ragged but will finish the game with a few bruises for sure. There are dangers in doing it, but there are also potential rewards.

Seriously though, some good crosses into the box with J and J and there and a headed goal or two is almost a certainty. Is Ally reading this thread??? DelightfulDennis 123
You could debate this all day and there's valid arguments either way but I think overall as a team we are stronger with Jig at the back and Daly up front. The stats don't like. We're s coring for fun and conceding very few.

TheBoyDave 123
If we get a few injuries at center half Jig and Daly could play there together(not a good idea I know) and we could have 4 strikers/forwards on the pitch at once and perhaps score 10 in a game(not likely but you never know).I am not against the idea in op but I think they will push each other on regardless.
