OlegKuznetsov 10,816
Many of our investors will be as aware of the ongoing smear campaigns against the Club and their dual aim of devaluing the brand and damaging the revival. However, not all of them will be aware of the nature and ferocity of these vendettas. I think we should make it clear to them that they. like us, have an interest in countering these ongoing negative distortions. After all, the concerted efforts to devalue the brand and destabilise the Club will harm their investment. Is it time to "educate" them as to the particular elements who aim to do us harm via media outlets. They may, given the nature of investors, have influence in other areas which could benefit us in this struggle. For example, they may have interests either in those media organisations, or via advertising or professional services. Perhaps that would yield them leverage over certain outlets. It may be an effective counter to those who give favours to certain others, whilst trying to harm us.I'd be interested to see others' thoughts on this idea. Cheers.
1st_Jan_1994 4,868
I've thought for quite some time we need to have the meeting of all meetings The Rangers board Fans and repsOur investorsOur sponsors Invite the VBs to the top table with 2 years worth of the fantastic digging they have done and a massive timeframe portfolio of every damaging item or malicious agenda Get our investors and sponsors onside and get their helpConvince them by presenting all the evidence in full that their illegal and immoral attempts to devalue the brand and halt our recovery also has a knock on effect to them too And lock FF, RST and the rebels out of the meeting as they are just as bad as destabilising and devaluing the brand in their own way

Those that want to avoid tough questions will let it happen too.

nachothelegend 1,932
It's all about getting connect and networking. We have been shit at this for years under DM and the Club Brand has been Isolated in my opinion. You have to get your Brand out there and sell it.CG was brilliant at it and that's why I'm passed off he's gone.He was very good at networking and I personally wanted him to remain. We need some one just as good as him, I feel someone connected to the English Media like Jeff Randall on Sky would be great to have. He understands the Business side and would have access to loads of connections Globally.Someone like that would understand the concept of protecting the Rangers Brand and can get in to the Minds of those who hate us. Reformation Bear 6,453
One appointment that should help the whole situation is the appointment of a Chairperson who has strong credible City connections and is strong enough in character to stand up to the malcontents and to provide effective leadership. Too much has been left to a CEO who does not have extensive experience at that level and to the FD. No COO and no Commercial Director remember, so the weight of executive leadership is falling on too few experienced commercially (and media) battle-hardened people. Now getting a top quality Chairperson must be a big priority after the AGM when the dust has settled and we all know what Directors are appointed. Its a pity matters could not have been orchestrated to uveil a new Chairman at the AGM but hey ho, that would have been too optimisitic in this era. An effective Chair / CEO / FD partnership should be a key objective in driving shareholder value up, and - more importantly - in driving the Club forward. Squabling and noisy distractions (and the distractors) would tend to be relegated to lesser view when really effective, powerful, driving leadership is applied and where the senior execs set the agendas and not the media outlets or the outriders jostling for positions at the top table.Don't ask me who would be an ideal Chairperson - I truly wish I could name a few candidates who would be strong enough to knock the heads together and forge the sort of leadership I believe we need. Here's hoping the Board makes a wise choice.

Steelee66 233
Good idea Oleg.It wouldn't be a bad idea either for some of them to lend a hand in standing up to certain detractors with some legal assistance with the use of company lawyers etc.
