Blue Nosed Babe 21,537
THEY want to BAN any celebration of our troops but THIS shows us why we should support them.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-24389435It is guys like this and all the other guys out there who fight and die not only for our country and security but for others as well.Today there was another report, in the spots section, that said Afghanistan qualified for their first ever cricket world cup. A few years ago, that would never have been thought possible. The Troops going in there to restore a democracy and to get rid of terrorists has led to the beginnings of this country doing the things that our country sometimes takes for granted,That is why I will ALWAYS support our troops. RFC Eagle 4,888
These lads and ladies are an inspiration. Those who disrespect or criticise then should be locked away for life. They are only able to criticise and disrespect because of our troops and their gallant forebears. They should be careful what they wish for, they wouldn't enjoy the freedoms they currently abuse so readily.

1NachoNovo 840
Real life HEROES!Why ANY Brit wouldn't be proud and grateful is beyond me.
slimjim1690 4,534
It's when you read about acts of heroism such as this that it really does bring home to those of us who sit in the comfort of our homes in countries that have a true democracy the profound debt that we owe to our brave military personnel, I personally could never imagine puting myself in harms way except if my children were threatened in any way, and yet we have these wonderful people willing to put their lives on the line daily in war situations for total strangers. It really greives me dearly reading about journalists in their rags trying to score petty points in their continiued vendeta against anything Rangers related, I would love to be able to ask them straight to their faces "why on earth should we not be allowed to honour our forces for their bravery by allowing them to see how much they mean to a public who to a man, woman and child appreiciate their bravery, without having some mutants standing at the side of any parade they may have elswhere shouting derogitary insults and trying to spoil their worth to our nation". I knew and many others knew our Armed Forces Day would bring out the lowest snakes out from under the rocks they inhabit to have a go at us, but I have to ask, why does no other sports team offer our troops the oppertunity of a day like this? are they all scared that they would recieve the same treatment that The Rangers get, if so then I say shame on them, and I am proud that The Rangers are willing to lead the way in showing Scotland what it truly means to honour our armed forces. And to anyone who says otherwise, it's not about point scoring [although I get where their poisoned thinking comes from] it's about honouring brave men and woman who are willing to lay down their lives in order to give you the right to belitlle them with your petty mindedness, and allow the rest of us to live our lives in realitve peace and safety. Poetry_In_Blue 1,043
I thank them for what they have done for us, in this modern day and in the past they should be cherished as each life is precious, their own and each that they save. TheQueensEleven 1,355
I'd prefer we sent them in these brave men and women's place instead.People say this all the time and it annoys me! These brave men and women chose to go out there.... it's what they want to do. That's why they're so good at it.I'd rather the people who are so against them were sent to a country of their choice outside of Britain. No place for them here. Non_Sucumbi 876
“The soldier is the Army. No army is better than its soldiers. The Soldier is also a citizen. In fact, the highest obligation and privilege of citizenship is that of bearing arms for one’s country” ― George S. Patton Jr.People on the left ignore the fact soldiers are citizens defending our country.
