New Chairman?

I said this in a thread but it may warrant some discussion - the club needs a leader, the new Chsirman IMHO will have to be that man ( or woman)

We need a Chsirman accebtble to both the city and the fans but I am a loss as to who that could be - I have no real issues with the current board but don't see anyone there capable of the chairman's role - I sold don't see any past board members that could unite although from that group AJ is probably the best. Dave king does not feel right nor does Jim McColl - perhaps mike Ashly can step up but anyone else got any suggestions?

I did hear something very interesting about the subject of a new chairman, but it will keep till nearer the time.

Is a chairman really a big deal?

In the past we have had AJ who was rarely in the country and McCleland who was a patsy for SDM and going further back a working hospital consultant.

Other clubs have chairmen who are more like hospitality greeters while the real power is the CEO.

My real point is the club needs a leader to sort out some of the guff going on - I like Mather but he is not a leader to unite - I think he will make a good CEO but we need someone leading who can unite the different shareholder groups and the different fan factions
