Gaz52 11,837
I don't even think of Rangers, my team since I was born as a football team anymore, that's how ridiculous things have got, no-one talks about the Rangers games anymore, the players we have, anything. It's all about a bunch of money-grabbers now, wrecking our club from the inside. It's hard to think anyone on that board has the football clubs best interest at heart and it's even harder to think of us coming out the other end and being the side we once were, it's a shambles of a situation we're in, once again, fucked over by the lads at the top.I'm at a point where I don't care anymore, I might sound ignorant but that's just how tedious and sickening it's become. I'll always have my season ticket and attend the away games, fully support the football team as long as we're about, but the rest can sling it, I'm done with it all. (Green and Ahmad.) They said they were in it for the money therefore we really shouldn't be surprised. Stockbridge has remained as Financial Director at £200k per annum and Mather as CEO at £300k per annum. As long as they don't take ridiculous bonuses from now on and we see a significant improvement in the Club's finances and football then I don't really have a problem with such salaries. The non-exec directors getting paid £40k or £50k per annum does annoy me. They get expenses which should suffice. The non-exec posts should be for the love of the Club, a position to be savoured, an honour. Christ, they should pay to get on the board!!Next year's accounts will see a massive difference in the expenditure which many people appear to have missed. I still think the current board have much to prove and I'd like to see a couple of additions including a determined and respected chairman. Let us hope that the AGM will see some issues settled and then can all be concentrating fully on the football.
Dutchy 1,200
I think we all feel pissed off with the board room malarkey and it is very off-putting with some of the threads on the web in general, and here in particular. Unfortunately, most of the 'black' propaganda war was fought via the internet, so it's only reasonable to expect a internet based response. As much as I have sympathy for what you say about all this mess, I'm not of the belief that Rangers will not be the same club. The ethos of Rangers FC will always live on, the sooner all this is sorted, the stronger it will get.
bluenose1975 1,287
i agree the boardroom shenanigans are a definate frustration but since our recent troubles began, i actually feel more of a love for the club i, and generations of my family before me, have supported. the only downside is i find my levels of bitterness towards the bheasts from the east. before i never really bothered about them but today I fucking despise them with a passion. elephants stoned 2,994
Its just been one thing after another the last few years, from the big tax case to admin and the struggles with the sfa/spl then the demotion to SFL3 and now the board warfare and its all been played out with the mhedia onslaught and the bhitter bheasts and diddys trying to put the boot in, in the background. Its no wonder we are suffering from battle fatigue but when this is finaly over and it will come, we can say that we took everthing they had and we came out stronger. The Cry Was No Surrender!
