stewaj3 1,473
Today wasn't our finest day, but we were convincing and easily won the game and kept a clean sheet. A very good result in my eyes.I take exception though to some fans constant criticism of the same players. Namely foster, partly peralta. Let me start by saying I'm not fosters biggest fan and I honestly don't think he is a particularly good signing. However now that he is here, he has my backing and I will support him.Today he has received criticism even though we kept a clean sheet. Last week he even set up a goal in another clean sheet. That's not good enough got some of our fans. This week I've seen praise for Wallace, moshni and jig... But foster? He let the side down? I can honestly say I thought there were equal amounts of time down Wallace's side that Ayr ran at us, regardless they didn't really look like scoring. Yet somehow foster has not been good enough. I honestly thought he did fine and defensively did his job.Peralta, his theatrics, he has to cut them out, but give the boy a chance to settle. All in all it feels like some players can do no wrong, some can do no right. Rant over. Happy with the score and performance today, well done ally and co. TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
There always has to be one player who becomes a hate figure to a certain permanently raging section of our support. They can't do it to Jig any more so they need to find someone else. skinnymate1690 788
foster was piss poor today and we should be allowed to criticise his performance.
AlBear. 8,499
Foster needs to stop looking for Daly. First half everytime he got the ball he pumped it long. Saying that before September 1st he had played just 2 competitive games in 5 months. He's nothing special by any stretch but more than capable as a solid squad player at spl level never mind SPFL 1. With more games I'm sure he'll raise his performances. As for Peralta there is always one player in the squad who becomes the fans whipping boy. Doesn't help himself with his 'dramatics' but I don't mind it too much and hopefully he'll grow out of it. I think he'll prove to be a really good buy in the next couple years. mitre_mouldmaster 21,511
I think most people feel Peralta is being played out of position rather than think he is useless.I also think the long diagonals played consistently from Foster dont do him any favours. Both are more managerial complaints if anything though. stewaj3 1,473
foster was piss poor today and we should be allowed to criticise his performance.Honestly don't think he was, clean sheet and defensively as good as Wallace. I don't see how anyone could argue this.

I don't see how anyone could argue this.I could argue that he almost cost us a goal in the opening minutes.Didnt really see Wallace do this. AlBear. 8,499
All in all it feels like some players can do no wrong, some can do no right.Agree with that.2nd half of last season I thought Wallace put in some really lazy, below par performances. But he received no criticism on here at all. I guess people are scared he'll leave and reluctant to criticise him, as he is one of our best players. Pees me off. Like you say, for how long was it jig? Even the start of the year folk were calling for him out, now he's our top scorer, it's get him up front.. Why can't folk just accept we are doing fine as we are.

Despite only being 5 games into his European football career.
FlippinEck 3,853
Foster seems to have lost a bit of pace aswell which was one of his better "attributes" first time he was here. I think the main think that rankles most fans though is the fact he waltzed in to the team after McAusland had done nothing wrong...

The problem with a player like daly is it's so easy for players to look for him with a long ball, I'm sure many of our players are guilty of looking at that option.Peralta will do just fine, Just needs time to adapt. trublusince1982 768
Wallace gave the ball away far more often than foster today especially in attack, didn't think either played very well but another clean sheet so nothing to complain about really

AlBear. 8,499
So ally told Wallace to bomb up and down the wing but told foster to boot it up the park.Yep. He told Daly to miss that sitter too.But on the brightside he told King Billy to score and Macleod to execute a perfect bicycle kick.

Like I said some can do no wrong, some can do no right... When in actual fact that's not how it actually is.I don't see the need to criticise anyone today, although I'd accept peraltas theatrics, as they annoy me. Couple of great goals but the performance was average.Do you think we've been a bit spoilt in the past? Sometimes we will have to grind out wins, you can't expect us to be winning 8 nil every week. The fact we won, we won comfortably and scored 2 great goals and kept a clean sheet... That'll do for me
