Brightside 41
Or, given the apparent limited availability of facts, a change of heart might be a more suitable phrase.A lot of posters appear to have a deeply entrenched opinion on the corporate matters engulfing our club. I was wondering if anyone has had a major change of mind/heart over the past couple of months and what it was that triggered it? Personally, I've been trying to process the actual facts but have to be truthful and admit that it's still not clear to me what is for the best. Just wondering if any of the folk with a 'hard line' opinion either way has now adopted a previously opposed view.

Young Bob 1,360
With the information available nobody can determine whats for the best. As McColl/Murrays plans seem to be fluid and have not been revealed I cant understand how anyone can determine they should back them.

elephants stoned 2,994
Nope i was against the mini lead TBK and im still against him and his newminico. I dont have the same level of confidence in the board as i did a year ago but i still believe they deserve more time and space away from the greedy requstioners, in the same way everybody agreed Ally needed a season at least with out all the pressures of last year i think the board deserve time without all this bullshit, as Ian on Rangers Chat said last night every hour spent by Mather, Stockbridge and the rest with lawers fighting minis daft court cases and every £ 100 spent on fees for these fights is time and money taken away from Rangers and our ability to develop our fightback from the lower leagues. BLUEDIGNITY 34,210
IF you can keep your head when all about youAre losing theirs and blaming it on you,If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,But make allowance for their doubting too;If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,Or being hated, don't give way to hating,And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;If you can meet with Triumph and DisasterAnd treat those two impostors just the same;If you can bear to hear the truth you've spokenTwisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:If you can make one heap of all your winningsAnd risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,And lose, and start again at your beginningsAnd never breathe a word about your loss;If you can force your heart and nerve and sinewTo serve your turn long after they are gone,And so hold on when there is nothing in youExcept the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,If all men count with you, but none too much;If you can fill the unforgiving minuteWith sixty seconds' worth of distance run,Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!Man up and stand your ground ! Zappa 358
I've had a change of heart: Up to a certain point I was willing to give Mather a chance, but now I'm of the opinion that he can leave along with the rest of the board.Bringing back Green, then giving Toxic Jack a new PR contract, then sanctioning the intimidation of Rangers fans with threats of legal action and grassing fans to the police for organising protest meetings are not the actions required of a Rangers CEO who will help take us to where we should be as a Club. sonofbear 398
Cautiously for the board before the accounts came out and even stronger for them now We need time and stability or we will regress especially with the piss poor alternatives on offer. ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
Mather, Threatens fans because they don't agree with him, he calls in the police because people are organizing protests which they are allowed to do as it is there club not his.He gave Jack Irvine another contract with us to fight the boards battles for them. He brings nothing to Rangers football club. The whole board shouldn't be sacked there are only a couple on that board that i think should go. And that is Mather and Stockbridge.Don't want Paul Murray either. I want a new CEO who has a track record of running companys that are under performing and who has a track record of getting them back on track. We also need a FD to replace Stockbridge again someone who has a good track record with a well known company who has no connections to Rangers. Brightside 41
So mainly a hardening of position it seems by most, though Zappa has had a change of heart. Thanks for sharing that. Obviously it's an extremely limited number people who've posted to this thread but I suspect that it was viewed by many more who presumably haven't changed their views. It's clear that there is still a wide range of opinion out there, which probably reflects the difficulty in getting to the actual truth of the matter. I suppose the good news is that we all genuinely want the same thing here; to get back to the top of Scottish football, back into Europe and to secure the future of our club. I hope we can all remember that throughout this tough time - whichever 'side' we're on.

Thewhitesettler 2,714
I was on neither side, however, I now back the board ever since the minico lot started behaving like taigs. Not very happy about new contract for MH, but I suppose they're just freeing their time, so that they can spend it on (their time) doing their jobs running the club, getting new sponsorship, finding a new chairman, etc.I have noticed that McColl doesn't appear too much in the news with PM lately, has he decided to bow out? Beaujolais 1,371
Still unsure of CM- he has made some poor decisions but also has had to steer the Club through very difficult waters- so it is unsurprising he has made mistakes. BS- has lost all creditability with me both in terms of his integrity and professionalism- The film of MM and the bonus he took out of the Club for the third division title are the main cause of this loss of creditability.PM- I am getting really fed up with all his posturing and mouthing off to the media. He has in many ways caused more harm to the Clubs progress in my view than any other individual since CW was run out of Town. This is a change of heart because in the early days I would have been prepared to enthusiastically support the Blue Knights if they had managed to take control of the Club. Their conduct since however means now that I am very glad they failed.
Copland bear 7,966
Not when mini Murray is involved, that clown wanted us to pay ticketus all their money back ffs, Why? We were never legally entitled to, just so,he could get his hands on our club that is why. Fuck mini Murray, he will never get on the board at Ibrox, he is finished now, and should just go quietly. Bluepeter9 5,167
I was a fence sitter till the accounts came out - there were issues but they have to be expected in year one of a turnaround, but no where near as bad as non board members were making out so I came of the fence and am giving the current board my backing. However it's a trust but verify backing, not unconditional as all they have done warrants giving them more time to see where they go and my support is not set in stone. However it's a trust but verify backing, not unconditional as all they have done warrants giving them more time to see where they go and my support is not set in stone. This is probably closest to my thoughts at the moment.I feel a bit aggrieved about the level of remuneration for some of the executives and I have a nagging doubt about where some of the money has gone, but it's hard to see any major problem with the accounts in terms of it being year 1. I know there's an element of gamble (as always) but I think the year 2 accounts will put an entirely different slant on things. Another round of fundraising in about 12 months, coupled with player recruitment in the following 2 windows (think a few of the current contracts will be ending around then) should see us set up very well for our return to the top league. The 'King' factor may add a different flavour to the mix but I'd imagine the general plan would be the same. Stick together guys. Barring any bizarre deviations due to idiots like Whyte et al, then I think everything is going to be OK!

Despite my concerns Ive been on the fence since this started - and the conduct of some of the individuals in both camps have merely served to re-enforce the wisdom of this position.I am less than knowledgeable regarding financial accounts so I rely on guys like Boss to put things into laymans terms for me.The publishing of the accounts did little to affect my position as the interpretation of such appeared to depend in which camp you sat - it would be good if Boss did an "Idiots guide" on the recent set of published accounts.
