stewaj3 1,444
Honest question.. In the new football related bears den...If you could only have one in your team who would it be Brian or Michael and why?Just a bit of fun, surely the greatest footballing brothers ever? Closely followed by Ronald and frank de boer for me... We really have been privileged to see some greats at this club..
alukotheblackmessi 22
Although I love Brian....I think Michael was a better player
King Jela 20,016
I really doubt many genuinely believe Brian was a better player than his brother.
TheCutch 4,340
I loved Brian so much, but I believe over their whole careers that Michael was the better player.
kanjo 26,294
Michael was an exceptional footballer but, i am very grateful that I was able to see Brian do what he done and if I could see that again i'd be more than delighted so...i'd say Brian. harlands plater 16,933
Michael may have been marginally the better player, but could he have done any more for us than Brian did?
legalbeagle 3,734
Brian, because I actually saw him and he was the finest I have ever seen in blue.
cumnockbear 2,446
2 very talented players Brian is one of the finest players i've seen, so Brian for me.
Arfuf Phuxache 190
Michael was a sensational player, as was Brian.Their dad was meant to have been a cracker too.As far as footballing brothers go though, Jack and Bobby being world cup winners just shade it..... Muirheadbear 1,483
It's got to be Michael. Brian is my all time favourite Rangers player. Michael however had a stellar career - clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus on your CV confirms you as a real top player.
TheMotor 2,208
True, if off-topic story: I used to be manager of the GAP store in Piccadilly Circus in London back in 2000/2001. One night, one of our sales guys managed to totally piss off Michael Laudrup by asking him, "Didn't you use to have a brother that played football?"Poor fella knew fuck all about football, just heard me banging on about great Rangers players all day long.......Anyway, Brian for me. Smile 26,592
Brian all the way.
mearns loyal 2,687
Michael may have been the better player but Brian was the business for us. It's a bit like asking Barry or Derek Ferguson. For me Derek was the better player but Barry had the better career...
TEFTONG 59,867
Both Excellent Players. And Gentlemen. In my humble opinion Brian had more pace. And it was a joy that we had a player of such amazing ability strutting his stuff wearing the ROYAL BLUE. So many great memories.
TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
I really doubt many genuinely believe Brian was a better player than his brother.Michael does, he said so in an interview in the mid 90's.
King Jela 20,016
Michael does, he said so in an interview in the mid 90's.Then he's in the category that would be in the few that think Brian was better, wouldn't he ?

pcbear 10,913
Laudrup and the two De Boers, its hard to imagine not so long ago we had genuine world class players.
johanhentze 14,019
Michael was the far superior player.. Try YouTube...I know we all love Brian because he played for us.. he was awesome, but, Michael was FAR superior..

Laudrup1984 25,100
I'm blatantly biased but I have to say Brian. He's the greatest player I have ever seen in a Rangers jersey and probably the greatest player I have ever seen in the flesh on a consistent basis.Michael was obviously a great player but for me I merely didn't see him enough live despite him not being that much older than Brian. The whole youtube/live streaming/live games on sky/social media aspect of life has evolved moreso in recent years and maybe if it was more readily available back then, then my opinion may be different. However, I simply didn't have many opportunities to see Michael on a regular basis whereas i had the privilege of seeing Brian week in week out. And he was simply THAT good. Handsome bastard too! theweebluenose 4,332
Micheal and Brian were very different players but Micheal edged it by a bit over Brian and there's no shame in that at all. Lets not forget that Brian was named by Pele in a list of the top living Football players in the World.
allgers 735
Brian for me every time, Michael had the misfortune to never pull on a Rangers shirt.
