Game looks class, though I've never played any of The Witcher games as I don't have a PC. What's the gameplay like? Don't really like jumping into a particular series that I have no idea about the story etc,but if needs must I'll be getting this.

It's very story driven.. and not in a not cheesy fantasy way like most other RPG's, it's very mature and gritty! But aye, there's a lot of interacting with npc's and so on... There's also a lot of reading throughout the game as it doesn't like to hold your hand. You'll need to open up quest logs, read them and figure it out... it doesn't put up a big flashy sign pointing you to your destination to the nearest millimetre. The world is very deep and the attention to detail is brilliant, even the side quests are great.. you can tell CDPR truly believe in quality over quantity which is something Bioware need to learn a thing or two about! I am curious as to how this will transfer into the new and larger zones in #3 though..

Combat is tactical but not in the same way as something like Dark Souls.. Sure positioning is extremely important as is timing, but there's not a lot of variation in fighting styles so it can become pretty repetitive once you figure out the mechanics. Even the boss fights are pretty straight forward which is hopefully something they've been working on!

I haven't really been paying too much attention to the development of W3 even though it's a day 1 purchase.. i just want to go in and experience everything it has to offer by myself!

Fucking hell amazing! Back in the day you'd get lost in games like Chrono Trigger and Legend of Mana for hours as you had to figure out where to go...but it was great and learnt you the world. Nowadays like you say you get told to go exactly where you need to! That's not playing a game it's following basic instructions :)

Will it be the usual manic pish or will they give us a tactical game? I already know the answer

COD isn't a tactical game though, thats not why is sells millions. It is supposed to be a casual game. Although i hated Ghosts and Advanced Warfare is meh, Treyarch are the only COD company i can bank on for a good game, i still play Black Ops 2 now and again and theres over 100,000 people playing most of the time, game has been out for over 2 and a half years.

COD was always a tactical game until the 360/PS3 generation.
