Shuggy 1,304
I wonder why the deal covers the whole of the SPFL and not the top tier as is usual? Can't imagine why the Chinese are interested in seeing Brechin, Stenhousmuir, Ayr .... unless ... daviecooper01 826
So £20m over 10 years, to pay 42 clubs.Hmmm -how to spend our extra £47.6k per year.....assuming that each club gets the same as every other club, of course.....

JCDBigBear 9,274
The BBC pic should carry a health warning. "Viewing this photo can make you feel sick".Thought it fitting that Jackie Chan was holding the mic with the Chinese flag.

Blue Heaven 37
How pathetic £2 million a year for 58 games a year just crumbs & Doncaster has still not found a sponsor. He could offer the Chinese a half price deal as we are approaching halfway but no BRITISH company will touch Doncaster's toxic brand.Without RANGERS in the top flight Doncaster has nothing to sell. GersMK 135
£34,482 - per game
jimgers 565
Very doubtful it will be evenly split between all forty two clubs, if Liewell has anything to do with it. It will be split up with the top division getting the most then some sort of pro-rata between the lower leagues.
Alwaysblue 705
When you actually break down the figures and assuming every club gets the same - big assumption!!! - its a shit deal.

Big Al 55 7,474
Like it or not we will have to be part of the SPFL. Whilst the level of renumeration isn't the greatest it does provide clubs with an opportunity to extend their fan base.Hopefully we will be able to take full advantage of this. Unfortunately it will be 2 years before one of our games is broadcast I suspect.

Bluepeter9 5,164
So we were right with this then?... rm sponsors fund pulls in just about as much per season as this deal will be worth to us!
50ShadesofBlue 667
Great for the Scottish game, may see an increase in merch sales and interest from China.
KingKai 431
Had to laugh....!!!"There is clearly a growing appetite for European football coverage in China and now football fans across this country will be able to enjoy the action from iconic Scottish footballing venues such as Easter Road, Fir Park and Pittodrie," said Salmond. "Aye...Iconic all right!!
Inceligo 28,369
'Clubs representative Peter Lawwell?' We keeping up the plural pretense then are we?Lawwells dominant involvement in these kinds of deals does nothing to allay the concerns that Scottish football is being arranged to suit one entity. Redsox1 1,361
3 in the photo. Anyone hazard a guess to which one of the 3 isn`t wearing a poppy ? Rancid to the core and he`s meant to be representing our league ?

still_a_smarmy_twat 17,717
To be honest, if we were in the top league, this would have been a good deal, although it looks like Celtic have played a blinder with us out the picture.Probably get a good merchandising boost and the potential of some form of pre season tours and the like.Hopefully our games get get some cover also, but seriously doubt this will be how it has been worked. rangersfc77 170
To be honest Salmond has been working hard with China over the last few years as he knows they are a growing economy and are one of our largest whisky exports. He publicly stated so over a year ago. It will be down to him that clown Dungcastor could not organise a **** in a whorehouse as the saying goes. I find it sickening that he is even getting credit I wish he would just feck off back over the border. Rant over Chicken chow mien anyone?
