Our Squad

Exactly, a touch of reality is needed. In reality we have the best squad in Scotland outside Celtic, and the second biggest wage bill to attract these players.

Just like we did last season and we still got humped off ICT and Dundee United. Wage bills are irrelevant if you're up against a better team and probably even a better manager.

Aberdeen are very much a better team than us, and Celtic are just way ahead of us.

In Aberdeen's last 4 games they've won 4, scored 9 and conceded 0 against much better teams than the ones we're playing against.

A touch of reality is needed IMO.

Bull.

I think we've got the second best squad in Scotland, the potential problem I see arising could be if we play a Premiership side, the step up in opppsition and tempo would be a bit of a culture shock, sure most of the boys have played SPL football before but it stands to reason that ypu get into a comfort zone playing against Part Time players, the step up wouldn't be as daunting over a prolonged period as the players would adjust but over 90 minutes I could see them struggle to get comfortable enough on the ball.

Plus, despite what any fans wil say, Rangers will have a huge target on our backs, we'll be seen as a scalp regardless of what Division we're in so those teams who'll be better equipped to face us would also be majorly up for it too

The main reason I think we'd struggle is because we are playing against part-timers every week where we have pretty much no competition. To go from that to playing against a full time team who are playing proper competitive games every week isn't as easy as some think.

Much like the difference between SPL and CL football.

You want to answer my question then if Aberdeen are a much better team than us what players of theirs would get in our starting 11 and in place of who??

Your question's idiotic, as is your other point.

Starting to see a pattern..

How is it? If they had a much better team than us then surely most of their players would get in our starting 11, which clearly they wouldn't. So your'e talking rubbish.

We've got the second best team in the SPL by a distance, if you think otherwise you've obviously not got a clue about football.

Totally idiotic.

How good Rangers players are individually is absolutely irrelevant if the 11 average players playing for Aberdeen are gelling better as a team in a harder league against harder opposition, what part of that confuses you ?

Stupid.

How do you get they are gelling better as a team than Rangers? In the SPL they've been beaten by Celtic, Hearts and Ross County. And drew with St Johnstone and St Mirren. Rangers have won 10 out of 10 plus 37 in the league they are in, can only beat what's put in front of you. More than confident if Rangers were in the SPL this year they would finish second. And the 'individual' players Rangers have such as Bell, Wallace, Moshni, Black, Macleod, Law, Daly are playing well as a team and would walk in to teams in the SPL. Even a lot of our 'fringe players' would walk into most SPL starting 11's.

In the last 4 games Aberdeen have won 4, scored 9 and conceded 0. That would tell anyone they're gelling well, and they've looked excellent at times, better than us, while doing so, in a league that's much harder than ours and against better opposition. Where as Rangers are up against part timers, gelling well yes, but that's easier to do when you're up against nothing teams.

Simple stuff really.
