Former Tamworth and Rangers FC striker Kane Hemmings bagged a brace as Cowdenbeath earned a thrilling 4-3 win over Hamilton at New Douglas Park.

Greg Stewart's strike and two from Hemmings put the Blue Brazil 3-0 up at the break.

Stewart tucked away his second after the break before Anthony Andreu (2) and James Keatings set up a tense finish.

Hemmings now tops the Scottish Championship charts with 14 goals.

He tweeted: "Buzzing with the result today! Nervous stuff at the end! Always nice to get a couple goals extra special in front of my Mom and the boys."

Clark was top scorer in this league last year aswell. We seem to make players worse. Possibly the pressure of playing for a team thats expected to win every game?

The reason a new thread on Hemmings seems to appear every week is that Hemmings seems to score every week!

The chances Hemmings got with us was when he had just returned from a bad knee injury and in games where we were creating fuck all in terms of chances and the likes of Jelavic where also struggling in those games aswell, yet many on here are happy to use those 2 or 3 games as proof that Hemmings wasn't good enough it's absoloutley ridiculous we need to give youth players a proper chance to impress. They are happy to write of Hemmings goals for Cowdenbeath as meaningless yet the same people are happy to point to Nicky Clarks goal scoring record in the division below and use that as a reason why he should start for Rangers.

It's quite simple really, At Cowdenbeath there is no pressure on him, he can play without fear of failure, the pressure that is put on players at Rangers means that there is always a fear of failure and for a lot of players that affects the way they play. I saw him play a few games for us and he looked nervous, he also looked like he was trying to hard at times..

Bottled nothing, we spent wages on kevin fucking kyle and that nugget sandaza instead of guving hemmings the whole of division 3 to get a consistent game going

A good post and I agree. The problem is, many Rangers fans wanted our journey from South to North, to be the journey that bled these guys. If we gave them time, they would develop into the top flight players we wanted.

There is no pressure but lets face it when he played it was out of position as always. It will be the only time Ally plays younger players and that is out of position. Like jimbean j says we would rather sign sandaza who considered him self to good for us in the spl as we didnt offer enough money. So we give what he wants in the 3rd division. Says it all.

Pretty sure Kyle had a better goals to games ratio to Hemmings. So ur points invalid. Have nothing against the guy but hes naw Rangers class.Alot like much of the current squad. Doin well wae a wee team with no pressure.
